  1. 47 last night. Turned the heat on this morning. Was a little too cool for my liking
  2. Beautiful night for a playoff game at Citi field. Incredible game. LGM
  3. I was down in Sarasota this past spring. The bay there is very high even just at high tide. The entire downtown will be underwater. the construction downtown is pretty new so I would imagine structural damage would be limited even with cat 3 winds. That’s one saving grace, most of the development on the west coast is new and in accordance with the better building codes. Obviously the immediately shoreline will be wrecked, but the newer construction should be fine
  4. 45 this morning. I remember when I was a kid first week of October or so would be when you’d have the first days with highs struggling to reach 60 and lows dropping into the lower 40s. I don’t see any sub 60 highs for the next few weeks but lows should approach 40, so we are stepping down relatively close to normal schedule
  5. 76 today. Beautiful weather continues.
  6. Had a quick downpour this morning driving to the office. 75 now.
  7. 72 off of a low of 46. Perfect day
  8. You are all over the map. One poster mentions that it was still “warm” and all the climate deniers get triggered. Spiral away
  9. The averages were a lot lower then…I am not sure why this annoys you so much. Average temps are warmer, so an average month is still warm…
  10. Temp anomalies are not the same as warm v cool. The warmer the averages get, the warmer an average month is…So yes, with the higher averages, an average month is warm.
  11. Boating season ended two weeks ago. Not quite as bad as last September but still a shortened season. Nasty east winds churning up the sound and keeping the boats in port. Boat comes out tomorrow and now we depressed.
  12. How have forecasts gotten worse as technology has advanced?
  13. Trees are rapidly turning color and dropping leaves now. Unwatered lawns are crunchy brown. Dry
  14. Wow. Not often we go 2 straight weeks with nothing. May end up close to 3 weeks before we rain
  15. 77 today. Can’t remember the last time it rained
