Cannan is solid for views...I think they are likely mostly farm land? It smells of poop
I was taking a Milky Way photo in cannan once and It smelled like I was swimming in a pool of cow poop.

G3 as of this post with a very favorable Bz! Go look!
Nothing in CT. Full moon is a problem too.

Thoughts on timing for any storm threats today?

What beaches are good in CT?
Good beaches and Long Island Sound should never be in the same sentence other than "There are no good beaches along the Long Island sound."

Yup! Not a bad little public course. Very close to home, nice views of Mt. Kearsarge.
Get anything good on the last few clear nights?

correct, anvil debris from the stuff which moved through and also the stuff west and southwest. Looking at latest satellite and mesoanalysis, we will destabilize enough for a second round but not enough for much of a severe threat except super localized
Thanks for all the info you provide! I learn a lot!

I think we may have enough of a window to re-destabilize and have a shot for a second round. What may be a bigger inhibitor is anvil debris. Headed back home so can look in more detail soon.
I think what I was referring to as outflow Is what you are calling anvil debris. The big areas of clouds coming out of the top and blowing north of the storms?

@weatherwizlooks the outflow from this line down in swct/seny ruins our chances at sun and destabilizing?
-
That cell in the HRV looks good

Lol suns out in Torrington!

Is this gonna mess things up for later?

Very lame in Torrington although I’m south of the wind max a bit.

Unfortunately there was a fatality in ct last night due to the wind. A man was found under a tree this morning.
