Yea but then you get a thick layer of sleet that easily ices over ones the ZR starts.  Not sure that’s any better.  Probably worse for the roads.

Sleets not bad its the leaves on the trees guna have major power problems if it's predominately zr. Sleets like gravel tbh easier to brake on vs snow ice anyway what about a thread guys who guna bring the mojo as in a nice cold rain lol

Under a winter storm watch and flood watch. It’s November 13th y’all.

We gunna have to hunker down an hold on tight here along the escarpment! Even with high rates if we get down to what the rgem is showing 2.0 of precipitation we could end up with a half inch of ice. Here too a sleetfest fingers crossed...…..

I see that too.  Interesting evolution, especially for NW Piedmont (which would be significantly drier).  Wetter solution for southern escarpment, despite the model not responding with enough QPF.

Thanks for the input i always appreciate your analysis I dont talk alot but been a long time lurker since 2010. One thing i learned if tracker met85 or hunter post its about to get interesting. Hunker down and stay safe fellas.

Some models are pushing closer to a SC hit. Basically the further south it is, the worse it will end up for us. Need this thing to go north.

Ive been watching this for two days (Euro Ensembles) have maintained a cluster of hits in south carolina. And i agree completely we dont need the rain i dont wish this storm on no one but after our little lake tahoma dam scare back this summer im good on floods for a while theirs nothing scarier going door to door at 2 a.m in the morning trying to evacuate people knowing a wall of water could come your way at any moment...

Thanks Heath! Our house is oceanfront so I'm afraid it might be toast. I'm more worried about my island. This is the kind of storm that could change it drastically. Bogue Banks is no more than a few hundred feet wide in several places. Have spent most of my summers down here since I was a little kid. Would hate to see it get it torn up.

But, there are two positives.  Good insurance and I won't be here! :-)

Thats the main thing that you guys are safe. I know there will be those who stay behind and as a firefighter i know all to well the consequences. Some of my best memories was on the banks with my papaw. Hopefully i will get to share the same places and experiences with my son... Anyway god bless and stay safe.

Thanks Bill. We're taking our fall vacation now so it better start snowing in Oct. this year.

I'm starting to wonder if I might have problems up there as well. If this thing sets up right, the rainfall might be overwhelming. When Frances and Ivan came through within a couple of weeks of each other, it took our county a good year to fully recover. Flashing flooding was horrible.

Hey Joe, Hope all is well ill be praying for you and your family. And i remember those storms well theres still empty condemed houses hanging off the side of humpback up in North Cove due to the mudslides from those canes.

So we went from WNW to due west movement in he latest advisory. Interesting.

It has my attention thats for sure!!! Were saturated 4 inches of rain would cause flooding here for us in Mcdowell let alone 10-20!

Huh?  No idea what the temps are, but that surface map ain’t a bad look!

Ill take a almost 1040 in that spot anyday. Gives me room for a NW trend strong enough for cold air but not to strong or south to supress. For the western part of the state anyway. Its crazy what elevation can do ive seen some crazy changes within 100 feet.

Because E 19 for Florida! adds so much substance to the discussion     Reading more and posting less until you have it figured out, would probably be best then.

ROFLMAO.  Im sorry i wasent going to say anything but.......really? Michelle.......What about hmmmm let me think.....MACK for instance. (NO OFFENSE MACK) He adds alot of substance to the discussion dosent he? Let me guess he pays his YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION!!!! So therefor gets special treatment along with a few others. OR hes been around for soooo long and has seniority that defys all rules? Witch is it? From one supervisor to another ( Ethan Allen shipping department) I treat everyone the same there are no picks. Things work alot smoother that way. Delete me if you want after five years ive spoke my peace.
