  1. I didn’t find a specific date, but in January 1960, Chicago had a day where 2.76 inches of rain fell. That’s the highest number I’ve been able to find. Perhaps if the snow eludes the area, I guess we can watch a record fall? RC can correct me on this, if he so chooses, as he has better records in his workspace than I was able to find via Google.
  2. 3+ inches of precip in January, and looking like it’s going to be wasted on rain/some sleet around here. Terrible. However, at least someone will get some good snow. So enjoy!
  3. Man, the total precip numbers actually seem to be increasing. Such a shame to waste this incredible amount of liquid in January on marginal temperatures.
  4. Our house is about a half hour NE of RFD. If 20 were to fall, my wife would HATE it. Haha
  5. The precip amounts + snow amounts together for certain areas are kinda crazy. If only all three inches of the precip would be snow...
  6. This is beautiful to watch from inside, but kinda sucks to be walking out in. Winds are picking up, but despite snowing all morning & into afternoon, not really sticking to anything but grass.
