  1. With the 0z runs about to kick off with the NAM, this seems appropriate for most of us right now.
  2. 18z Euro is at 6pm central, I think? Anywho, another new LOT graphic:
  3. Alek still sitting golden at the moment. May change by 0z, though.
  4. Love that the thread has a new reply every couple minutes! Getting interesting!
  5. We’ll see if the NAM will stand alone on this solution. If other 00z guidance follows suit, could be an interesting night for some offices, especially the likes of LOT.
  6. Here’s LOT’s most recent take on things from a couple hours ago.
  7. When’s the last winter that failed to produce at least one storm of at least 6 inches of snow for the majority of the Midwest? Has there ever been one?
  8. GFS with impressive lake enhancement over Chicago metro.
  9. I forget just how heavier snow falling silences surrounding sounds. I was walking into the wind to my bus stop with my head down, and if I didn’t look up, I could’ve assumed the street wasn’t full of traffic.
  10. When’s the last time any system laid down a foot of snow over basically an entire state like that run does Wisconsin? (Ignoring the run, anyone have a legit answer? Haha)
  11. It’s been a while since I’ve seen something like this fall apart for almost everyone.
  12. Bold graphic here from LOT. Talking about the **potential** of 6 inches falling in a 4 hour timespan at ORD (and still snowing after that).
  13. What are they thinking for NW areas like Rockford? Same 3-6 inches that’s in the WSW?
  14. Does this model have any kind of good track record so far this season?
  15. If this were to happen verbatim, my house would get .05-.10 freezing rain, .25-.50 of sleet, and 6-8 inches of snow. Very cool as someone that likes watching winter weather, but what an absolute mess to travel in.
  16. Probably obvious, but just passing along the note that the WSW for the more NW counties (Winnebago, Boone (mby), DeKalb, McHenry, Ogle, Lee) is different than the one for Cook, in terms of snow/ice amounts.
