Yeah the randomness does suck sometimes. Eventually I just start to accept or even embrace it. Warm, humid, unstable..I just go about my business and expect to get wet at some point. Ive spent enough time in south FL to reach the point where you kinda stop planning around every potential rainfall and just take possibly of getting soaked as a normal thing. Wow this is epic rainfall. If its not flash flood warned it should. Lots of thunder, lightning right overhead.

Drove bout 6 miles btwn yonkers and the Bronx went through dry and wet areas several times none of them more than 3/4 mile or so, FL style. Had no service to see radar so was flying blind. As I type the skies open torrential rain, and windy..gullywashers

90 here now

A quick downpour came through that morning. Seemed to dissipate just as quick for JFK to get 0. Some plants around here seem to enjoy it but the ground was all dried up within an hr or so. As dry as its been I was a little suprised no one commented on the rain out of nowhere. Turns out very few saw it.

Suits in summer once of my least fav things. Should be banned till fall lol.

NWS had forecast of 90 for me so they called it

I remember that stretch well. It was a hellish run. Does anyone know if that 84 degree dew point at JFK still stands as a valid reading?

It looks mostly north of the airport though. More in downtown Newark, Irrivngton, Harrison. It does look a little dark in the western sky now.

Suppose its plausible. Baltimore had a HI similar to that yday. Central Park is 92/77 HI 106 Showing 91/80 HI 108 here A t storm just popped up around Newark.

Oppressive dews indeed. Typical Miami summer conditions now..upper 80s to around 90 with upper 70s dew. Here..87, dew 79 HI 100. Dew point maybe slightly inflated by a lot of nearby lush plants lately.

Down to 90 with nice SE wind 15-20 mph, actually feels kind of "good." Was brutal a few hrs ago.

Yeah, it's been steady 94-95 here since just before noon. Still 94 now, humidity is down slightly from low 70s dew to upper 60s. Wonder how hot it could of gotten without a light E/NE breeze.
