  1. Getting some very picturesque light snow here. Large flakes with shafts of sunlight around.
  2. That's damn healthy precip from a literal blip on the radar!
  3. Thanks! Looks like a pretty decent signal for a global. I could see getting 3 inches or so here if it all pans out. Always some luck involved with getting the higher amounts, but there is a healthy little impulse associated with this so it isn't just random moose fart dust like PF's 4 inches today. LOL
  4. What’s the best source for that? Weatherbell?
  5. Seems like a decent upslope signal starting to appear on the models now between Wednesday and Friday.
  6. Definitely an “it just wants to snow” pattern right now. LOL
  7. Been flurrying all day here. Nice wintry appeal, but probably no accumulation of note. We picked up about 1.5” in the showers yesterday. Really wintry last few days and rest of the week on tap. I am headed back to MD for 10 days on Friday so I will miss the cutter for this weekend. Hopefully it weakens for you guys and there is some snow on the front and back of it.
  8. The little event for Wednesday and Thursday is looking slightly more potent on the latest mesoscale runs (to me at least). Maybe we can squeeze out a few inches of dust? Hell, PF just got 4”+ from a radar glitch so why not?
  9. I figured you’d be able to clarify the situation.
  10. Very representative of a single story 2 bedroom cottage right on the banks of the Androscoggin in Gorham, I’m sure.
  11. Maybe if one of the trailers along rt 2 detached from its footers and went airborne.
  12. OK, thanks for looking that up. That makes a ton of sense. Next time we have a storm, I will hike to the top of Mt Crescent or halfway up the slope of Madison (also part of the town) and report Randolph obs from there.
  13. And here I thought I was going home for 10 days until the 21st and I'd miss the "epic pattern." Instead, I will miss the return of the garbage cutter pattern. Fine by me. I suspect my developing glacier here will survive it unless they are truly horrid like that last one. This storm seems like the perfect pack builder. Super wet snow that then freezes solid for the next 4-5 days.
  14. In my limited experience, that's what I have seen. Already seen several occasions in marginal setups where they are couple degrees warmer than me and still a mix yet it's snowing up on Randolph Hill.
  15. Hmm, I guess you are right. I have never looked that closely at the topo map over there. I know they do not seem to do as well with upslope just based on driving past there up to my house, which is a frequent occurrence. I swear it feels like I have to climb back up from there to my house in the car. But maybe it's just an illusion. I don't really know of any good obs from that area so impossible to say how they do on the averages. I'm sure there are little neighborhoods tucked here and there around the area that are snow heavens. Just need to have ORH_wxman tell you about them. LOL
  16. The Gorham Walmart parking lot has one of the best views in the entire area, BTW. LOL
  17. About 15 mins to the town line. But I have a significant elevation advantage.
  18. Yeah Gorham Heights is one such area for sure. My plow guy lives over there and his weather is similar to here.
  19. The only way that is accurate is if it was “Gorham Heights” which is right across rt 2 from me. Some of those guys live a decent ways up the side of Pine Mountain and should have weather similar to here. That’s about as close to actual Gorham as I am.
  20. LOL Gorham did not have 15 inches. I was just down there. Unless like 13 inches melted away this afternoon.
  21. It’d be nice if they had the data for those numbers. You can’t really see where they even are. I’m usually a little wary of numbers from the ski resort PR people, for example.
  22. Getting a decent burst of almost moderate snow here now. 20 degrees and breezy.
  23. I saw that too but dendrite said it was just the Presidentials blocking the beam from GYX.
  24. There are some gusts here but nothing epic. Some nice light snow falling now at 20 degrees. Very wintry day. Basically localized to Randolph Hill. Other nearby areas have basically nothing, which is just nuts to me.
