    So stronger shortwave, also stronger confluence on 12zGFS, but doesn’t seem to be a wash wrt sensible weather outcomes. Went from mostly snow at 6z to a scalp fest at 12z for most of CT. Did the 2mb increase of shortwave strength promote more warming aloft?

    Every run this thing looks shittier and shittier. Shortwave for the loss. Watch it keep dwindling and end up C-2” region wide. Glad I made the trip up North. Easily over a foot OTG and currently snowing here in upstate NY.

    Being up here after the fresh snowfall is magic. Like a kid again and it never fails. They did taint pretty good up this way however, it’s powder with a good 1/3inch crust of solid ice on top.

    Yup, looking like a Thump slot deal without the trailing short wave interaction. Puts a lower ceiling on the event for sure. Damn, some of those long duration runs were tasty…

    Yeah North moves need to stop, or do they? This brown pit of a yard is growing on me in a Charlie Brown futility kinda way. Without being devoured by a certain winter k9, I’m all set with 2” of slop with grass poking through and a combination of slush, asphalt and spark careening of a plow blade.
