    Without even minding what the surface looks like here is where there is a ton of instability. Likely to be thundersnow and in these bands rates of 2-3 per hour.

    For sanity of us all don't really pay attention to the exact amounts on models exp the NAM. Just use them for the trends. The location of the bands is likely to be within the area of best forcing from the coastal formation.

    At the surface its getting there but not there yet. I suspect the better models will come in with a hammer tonight.

    Don't really focus to much on the surface. NAM is super blotchy and not doing a good job picking up precip. This is where the goodies are.

    Not sure honestly made a big jump at 500 early the confluence in the NE is changing this for the better as that's stronger

    Coastal already forming better at 30. Everything offshore is south with the stronger confluence in the NE

    I agree should result in a more negative tilt since its held back/west we will see!

    The block is even stronger in the NE so its essentially slowing the trough. This will be interesting to watch its definitely different at 500
