im down to like 3 LOL. Death valley

I was in Bridgeport city proper yesterday and I was surprised at how much snow had melted. The piles and banks in certain areas were impressive, and you could tell it snowed a lot, but the solid cover is  greater here even though they had like six or seven inches more during the storm.

Just a dusting from that, not too different from this morning. 15.8" remains the total... not a chance that 20.5" report on PNS happened.

I'm not feeling some of the 7" reports near here and the 5" in East Windsor while 12" was the BDL total and Springfield  was general 10-11.  Something seems off.

  3. I'm so used to not jacking here that I've somewhat excepted climo. I'm in a valley so I miss out on any elevation driven events. I'm too far north in the valley and more vulnerable to shadowing than say a place like Middletown, but also a bit too far south to jack in most SWFE or the latitude driven " North of the Pike" events.  Usually a Kevin to ORH axis outperforms here as well as The NW HILLS to Berks.  My seasonal totals average better than the S Coast and parts of SE Mass as I get close to 50", but  I usually get outperformed  in big events, with the exception of a very rare banding situation like back in 2001 and even last December when I was close to 18" ,  pretty much a jack for the state of CT.  But hell yeah,  I'm still rooting for it and get pretty excited on the rare occasion that it does happen.  Makes me savor it even more.

  4. Still don't like how there's a heavier precip signal down in the Mid-Atlantic up into New York City and then a secondary across eastern MA.  Seems like interior Connecticut into Western /Central Mass is prone to more dry slotting, or sort of in- between two areas of greater forcing, combine that with the downsloping wind into the valley and I'm concerned this could be a rather modest event around these parts.  Hopefully I'm wrong and the WCB really pounds and we get some consistent decent banding after that and not a shredded mess.

That may be right on the Union/Stafford line on western slope . I think it’s actually in Stafford , though Google lists both

Actually 1316',  NW side of Union close to Stafford. Never been there before I might need to check it out.
