  1. when was the last time we had THAT set up? Keep in mind solar activity is on the downswing as well
  2. is it bad I want to experience a blizzard warning for once in my life? (just to say I lived though one)
  3. seems like it keeps reloading with an extended magazine... wave after wave of cold air shots with maybe two days of warm between them
  4. GFS trended WAY colder out west at the end of the 12z run, some areas near the Montana/Idaho/Wyoming border with -20s and -30s for the temp
  5. he is referring to the 500mb vortex energies
  6. so you think we could have temps colder than they were the first part of January?
  7. I haven’t seen the run since I’m heading to heading to work, but I think it did...
  8. I don’t know, they have been dead wrong so far... I think all winter will tend to stay at/or BN, with brief periods of warm ups
  9. My belief is because it is in the dead center of the state... mountains zap anything coming from the NW, and it is too far inland to have a significant oceanic moisture tap. I live 40 miles south of Cola. so I get the benefit of the ocean tap from the Atlantic (5” from the Coastal Crusher and yet Columbia got hardly flurries).
  10. GFS shows two possible storms... a pseudo Miller A setup (IF the cold air drops further south) on the 25th-26th, and another a few days later on the 29th.
  11. Pats are only a 9 point favorite... hmm, possible upset in the making?
  12. My area on the latest GFS: 144hr- 41 150hr- 65 wtf.... that is 4 degrees an hour
  13. I am a Browns fan so I know that pain all too well...
  14. cutter or a Miller A/B hybrid... got the look to go either way or even both
  15. On a completely unrelated note, I got a question... Why is the max total size I can upload down to just .08MB? I notice it go down every time I post a pic.
  16. just don’t go on Amazon, the most expensive there was $3500
  17. looked it up, cheapest I saw was $50, most expensive was $600
