We can drool and fantasize all we want about those glamour model pics posted above. But as of right now we are married to the 700 lb gray headed woman who cant cook, clean and has no personality what so ever. The Southeast Ridge.

Edit; she hates football, golf ,hunting, fishing as well. And its highly likely she graduated from UNC.

    Or Clemson

There are so many things that can make or break an event.  2-m temperature is just one of them.  However, monthly average temperature does not necessarily have any effect on whether or not someone gets snow.  While highly unlikely, we could finish 0.5 degrees cooler than normal for the entire month by simply being 0.5 degree above normal on 27 days in February and 27.5 degrees below normal on the one other day.  I think we'd all just give up at that point, though!  :D

    No lie

As awesome as all that blue looks, it only corresponds to -0.6 to -0.8 colder than average in North and South Carolina.  (I believe those are degrees Celsius rather than Fahrenheit...but still.)

All it takes is .1 to make or break an event... Just saying

As the east/ SE has been above normal, the NW into Canada has been cold/snowy. This is actually good (..at our expense), it builds up snow cover that can help build/maintain cold later in the year.

That's a good point, because I read somewhere that during El Nino years, our cold base is in Alaska/Canada... The more cover they get the better off we are in this case

So this storm is over right?

I know, I know. The river flooding effects will still be felt later this week. But I'm talking about the actual friggin' storm itself. It's out of here????

I'm going to wake up tomorrow, and there won't be any wind or rain. It will be just a normal day in September?

    Yep

  6. End result of listening to Charlie Daniels while riding out the storm (and before anyone quotes me, I know the report of the moron shooting into the storm and dying was proven false)

-Florence came to the Carolinas looking for waves to sail
But she got in a mood and decided instead that she was going to raise some hell
Weathermen watched in horror as she came in high and hot
She smirked and smiled before saying “fellas I’ll tell ya what”

    “I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a Category 2
Ain't no comparin’ cause I'm going to do something weird and new
All your records mean nothing as long as I'm in town
Now prepare and hunker down because I'm the baddest girl around”

Florence compact your core and take a chosen path
So we can warn everyone who's gonna face your wrath
Quit making us guess with each and every flight
Or people are going to lose their lives tonight!

“Nice try,” Florence said, slowing as she neared the shore.
“But I'm going to make forecasting me quite the aggravating chore.
Now sit back and watch as I wind myself up nice and tight,
Cause you're about to lose this fight!”

Florence please listen as we all pray and plead,
Go easy on us so no more bodies have to bleed.
Forgive the moron who tried to shoot you down,
For his body is now underground!

“I love it here!” Florence squealed, relaxing as she spread herself out.
“I'm going to stay awhile even with your angry shouts.
Spread the good news since I am nice and large,
For you're about to learn that the weather is in charge!”

    Go away, no Florence no!

We don't want to go with the flo

Turn around and go back out to sea!

So we’ll be safe and free!-

  7. Still heading due SW, this keeps going it might be a direct landfall in Myrtle Beach instead of sliding in to the north. Areas to the south end of the envelope just got put back on notice (I'm still under a TS Warning until further notice).
