That’s a lot of precip on the euro for alot of this subforum. Gorgeous here for CT folks and out east too. Great run.

Well, of the two models(GFS and CMC),if I had to choose which one showed a monster solution at 48 hrs out, it would be the GFS over the Canadian every time. Certainly doesn’t mean it’s right. But it’s a much better model than the CMC. So there’s that. If the former King comes along in a few minutes, and does something similar to the GFS, then we might be heading towards something major. If there are a ton of new posts when I check back at 1:45, that will be a very good sign.

You guys know how I feel about 18z…get ready for a fluke run… in either direction imo. I have to say though, that on most all the modeling, we’ve been looking pretty solid here. Hope that is the case.

I know but it gets incredibly annoying…one frieken run. If 6z collapsed and went the way of 0z, then I’d be with him completely. That didn’t happen.

You’re getting crazy bud…it was a blip run. 6z came back nicely on Euro, and GFS, and EPS. I mean c’mon..you’re a meteorologist for god sakes. It would be like a cop panicking during an emergency situation…hold it together. If 12z shats the bed, then you can tell us you told us so. But at 6z things seem to have stabilized.

Use the ignore button…it’s excellent. Wish I did that a long time ago. I don’t have to see any of his ridiculous posts. Ignore him and he is no longer relative. He’s disingenuous period. I ignored all of em.

PVA….Potential Vorticity? So if this is a legit trend, and that indeed happens, this would juice this thing up even further..correct. Due to the increase in vorticity and energy? Or am I out of my mind lol.

Thanks Will, but I understood that part about the leading shortwave being strong, my point was that the CMC isn’t incorporating that trailing wave as the other varsity models seem to be, and perhaps it’s a flawed solution due to that fact, and perhaps not prudent to take it to seriously because of that?

The CMC doesn’t really put much emphasis on the trailing wave though. Everything else seems to incorporate that trailing wave. CMC behind some on this evolution?
