  1. I suppose that could happen..it’s certainly possible. But we can also say the milder look in 15-16 days at the end of the month, can have something happen to ruin that look as well. It could go both ways at this lead time…no?
  2. Gotta move out of New England Ice. Maybe Quebec? Or the northern Rockies? Or Extreme N. Maine? Your wish of a wire to wire winter is pretty unrealistic. 95-96 was close…but we had a huge thaw in January that incredible winter too.
  3. Some folks think because it’s 3/1…that it magically changes to 60-65 degrees with bright sunshine, and light winds. Silly preconceived notions…especially in New England.
  4. They didn’t even upgrade back to WSWarning as we ponded and pounded. 12.5” under a WWA….Pretty weak imo.
  5. Ya..I don’t necessarily agree there. But to each their own. Some monster snowstorms in March in SNE over the years and decades. March can deliver the goods. And it can also deliver gorgeous days too..flip a coin and it can change on you like a fickle beotch. Gotta be careful with her. Especially when you’re in mid Feb still.
  6. Well to be honest…it’s probably better at this point that it doesn’t. I like when they come out later on, as we move along. Those seem to work out a little more often when they pop at shorter leads.
  7. Yes, this is a great point. I think that many envision mild sunny days in the 60’s, and dry stretches when they think of Morch being above normal, and winter being over Lol…that’s almost always never the case. Sure it’ll be above normal, but more likely just as you explained. Which really sucks.
  8. That’s certainly fair enough. But sometimes just because one doesn’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not a viable potential. I realize today didn’t work out for a lot of folks, but the storm that many saw not working out early last week,(in fact a-lot of the same talk was being spoken as right now) has delivered 12-18 for some, and 5-10 for alot of others. So the needle did get threaded, and this was thought of as gravy(if it ever worked out) before this next more viable window that is approaching. So perhaps some of the upcoming next potential, hasn’t completely and fully revealed itself just yet… just saying.
  9. Well that makes sense, since your outlook calls for that(winter being over) to be the case.
  10. I was 30 degrees today and got 12.5”. You don’t need mid 20’s for an excellent snow storm George.
  11. There’s gonna be more chances coming up…pattern looks pretty nice/conducive for more potential winter action. Let’s hope we can cash in. Maybe this changed our ju-ju? Winter in SNE isn’t over on Feb 13th 99.99% of the time.
  12. Ya it’s just snow, but if you are a snow lover, then it sucks ass. I mean if you didn’t like snow like most folks, then it wouldn’t matter, and then you wouldn’t be on here showing us your pathetic snow cover. Get out of there.
  13. Ya ok. We didn’t know what todays storm was gonna do 6 hrs before(you called for a shut out, and got a foot lol) ….but the end of winter we can see at 16 days out. I’ll sell that big time at this point.
  14. Thanks. Everybody needs snow. Had to cancel our trip up to the county…no snow.
  15. More than doubled my season total today. Was at 11” for the season up to yesterday(horrid), and with the 12.5” today, it brings me up to 23.5”(much better), but I Average 50”, so about half way there.
  16. No warmth to speak of though….your heading to Florida, so you’ll find it there.
  17. Nothing crazy..but it was getting breezy in the death bands, so it gave it an even better look, more of a driving look. But certainly not near enough to fracture the dendrites, and inhibit stacking/accumulations. And temps were fine..right around 30 degrees here. Was a beautiful event.
  18. We had 12.5” here, I bet we were going near that ratio too during the height of it…it was all fluffy dendrites, snowgrowth was gorgeous. They just stayed in the band a little longer, probably only about an hr or so, cuz that was easily 3.5”/hr rates.
