  1. Ice Storm Warning now for MoCo and DC, this probably should've happened last night huh.
  2. Lots of sleet and even some flakes mixing in now down here.
  3. Trees starting to sag a bit here. Things definitely starting to ice up and rain still fallng steady.
  4. I mean it's 28 degrees, it should accrete, but the sun angle/UHI this late in February is very real. Starting to hear some pingers here too, but no real accretion going on.
  5. Trees starting to get that icy look here, but again, not outside, so maybe I'm wrong. Continues to rain steadily.
  6. Probably more surface area for the water to sit on a cold surface as opposed to a small tree branch grappling with sun angle.
  7. Yeah but you probably have like 60 feet of elevation on me. I'm at the bottom of the hill.
  8. Interesting...I live on Harvard and 18th so I'm right near Mt Pleasant. Also I haven't been outside I'm just looking through my apt window so take what I say with a grain of salt. But people seem to be walking normally on sidewalks
  9. Light rain, pavement wet, don't really even see much accrual on branches or elevated surfaces.
  10. Light rain and 29 degrees. Cars are cased in ice not sure what else, haven't been outside.
  11. Only non-believers eschew the true King in favor of the false idol Euro
  12. Look at this SWS out of Dallas NWS: ...BRIEF MODERATE SNOW NEAR AREA LAKES IN MONTAGUE...NORTHEASTERN ERATH... HOPKINS...RAINS...LAMAR...PALO PINTO...COLLIN...FANNIN... ELLIS... DALLAS...HOOD...VAN ZANDT...DENTON...PARKER...DELTA... ROCKWALL...HUNT...SOMERVELL...KAUFMAN...JOHNSON...WISE...JACK... TARRANT...COOKE AND GRAYSON COUNTIES... At 1030 AM CST, there have been multiple reports of localized light to moderate snow downstream of area lakes. These areas of snow are usually narrow bands confined to areas near and south of area lakes. Visibility may be reduced to less than 1 mile in snow for brief periods of time. These rapidly changing conditions could surprise drivers. Slow down and drive with extreme caution. LES in Texas
  13. Flurrying here now. Or "dumping" as some might say on here
  14. Nothing gets a bust going like LWX issuing watches.
  15. Charlottesville is absolutely gorgeous in the snow, especially the campus.
  16. The NAM is always wet, Euro and GFS super dry
  17. LWX issuing the watch at the same time every model goes super dry. Absolute poetry
  18. I mean I just got in from a walk, sorry if this is old news. Upper NW near the MD border had snow/sleet on the ground while here we have wet mud. Interesting and only a couple miles difference.
  19. They created Short Pump so they can marry their cousins! (Because they're so attractive)
  20. This radar looks terrible, just ain't happening in DC.
  21. I'll give you YES, >0.05" of ice accretion at +2000
  22. Overcast, 34 degrees, I hurt my eyes straining looking for flurries
  23. An inch and quarter of freezing rain would be some pretty incredible stuff though. Holy shit I'm rooting for freezing rain these past two years have been rough.
  24. This is the weeniest image I've seen today and that's saying something
  25. Alright DC Metro folks, if we all stand facing north and blow really hard we can maybe draw that 1" up to our area tonight.
