  1. I thought that was the case, but you never know anymore. These state by state quarantines are getting a little silly at this point.
  2. Is there a work exemption for RI and now NH? I’m assuming there is. One of my guys lives in New Hampshire.
  3. Same with my wife. All the symptoms. Me and the 2 kids got nothing. But we sanitized everything.
  4. There’s enough Purell down here at Disney to float a ship. God knows how many stations thee are. They must have a tanker full somewhere.
  5. I’m great full for a small parochial school. Ours haven’t missed a beat. Face to face so far. We picked up about 40 kids from surrounding towns because we were in school from the start. We don’t take special Ed so there’s that too that we don’t have to deal with it. I feel for you folks that have or teach special needs.
  6. Massachusetts is still very puritanical in a lot of ways. We’re not that far removed from the blue laws.
  7. PPE might slow it down, it’s not going to stop it.
  8. Massachusetts must be testing a lot of people. The number today was about 2500, but the percent positive was below 5%.
  9. Just got off mission space. Waiting to go to dinner at San Angel Inn
  10. So far so good. 35% capacity. There’s people, but I dont feel like I’m packed in like sardines. rides are half empty to accommodate distancing. A lot of the que’s have plexiglass between the switch backs. All the quick serves are touchless and pre order. That should stay that way forever. The 8-9 hours in a mask is the most difficult part. Hard for me to get used to it since I have a private office at work and don’t wear one unless I’m in the lab. But you know you have to wear one going in so it’s not too bad. It’s only mid 70’s to so that helps.
  11. They’re not testing enough people who have no symptoms.
  12. Maybe, maybe not. Like I’ve said before, it’s a respiratory virus that spreads. Not sure there’s a good answer other than a vaccine that’s effective.
  13. Those venues can’t open in Massachusetts until phase 4. Phase 4 is “treatments or a vaccine” according to Bakers’ phased reopening plan. I see where RI is going on a 2 week “pause”. 33% capacity on indoor dining, gyms closed, no youth sports. She also said the following” "If Rhode Island cooperates and complies for two weeks….We have a real shot to temper the rise which would allow us to limit the pause to just two weeks," Raimondo said. "If we don't, then I will have to go back to a total lockdown." Not sure what complies and cooperates mean. From what I gather, RI is really mask compliment. I’m not sure how much more mask and distancing compliment the general population can get up here.
  14. There’s the coercion. Do what your told and you’ll get rewarded.
  15. Lol The difference is there’s not a law against it. It ‘s store policy from place to place. Some regions they don’t care.
  16. Nobody knew. As long as it came up by 40 cycles, the sop said to call it positive. There are a couple of studies that correlate Ct with viral plaque assays and there’s no infection above 33-34.
  17. Somewhat. But we’re calling far too many positives who aren’t infectious.
  18. He’s my hero. That’s why I couldn’t continue in oncology. I wasn’t compassionate enough. I trained as a pathologist. My patients didn’t complain and I enjoyed the solitude of staring into a microscope all day.
  19. It’s too high. We’re calling people positive who never even had enough load to infect themselves much less anyone else.
  20. We’ll be wearing these face diapers for another 12-18 months at least.
  21. A lot of the SOP’s say anything less than 40! Some are set at 37. it should be at least 34 and more realistically 32.
