I haven’t given up. It’s just not looking likely that we get a big storm. That’s what I was hoping for. When we get to late winter, the nickel and dime stuff doesn’t stick around long. I am big storm hunting and I thought we had a chance. I don’t want 2-4 or 3-6. Maybe that can explain my disappointment.

It is truly an inexact science. All of the computer models (and people) are just making educated guesses. The atmosphere has so many variables and that makes it impossible to be 100% correct.

They have stopped giving me a hard time, but I also don't say anything inflammatory. They used to get mad that I even posted in their forum.

PSUHoffman: For northern MD and southern PA, the h7 forcing is actually over us now. But there isn’t enough moisture transport to activate the banding. If we can just get that next wave in WV to get decent deep moisture up here tonight it’s not impossible we get a decent band. But I’m skeptical. The trajectory isn’t good.
