Starting to take interest in that line out in western PA…wonder if that will be the main show for today?
-
Sun is starting to come out here now…hopefully that is a good sign for later!
-
Got lucky here and got into the very southern end of the complex…it is absolutely dumping! .50 in 7 minutes so far lol
-
I can hear the thunder from that complex in Harrisburg from here in York…must be a great storm! My girlfriend is at the Luke Brian concert in Hershey…they are about to get whacked there!

Does your flight have any connections or originations in NC? Not sure there is too much in the way of delays up the east coast. This thing is not even going to go below 1000MB
Nope. No layovers. It is from Orlando/Stanford to MDT.

I’m in Davenport Florida (outside of Orlando). It has been cloudy all day here and it is just now starting to get breezy. Looks like the outer bands are approaching, but according to radar, I may miss the heaviest rains here. My flight to return home is supposed to be Thursday morning. By then, Elsa is supposed to be in the Carolinas. What are the chances it gets delayed or canceled?
-
Hey guys! Can you help me out? I have been vacationing down in Central Florida the past 2 weeks. I would like to do a day trip to the Clearwater Beach area one last time tomorrow. I want to go shelling! It looks like impacts from Elsa will be minimal down here until Tuesday. Would I be right to think that?

Interesting we are talking about Florida…I’m down here right now in Central Florida and have been since Wednesday! Everyone says that Florida is so hot and humid, but honestly it’s not terrible. In fact, when the sun is behind the clouds or if it rains, it is actually quite comfortable. Is it humid still? Yeah, but no different than at home in PA. Everyday so far that I have been down here, it has stormed…so the temperature/humidity has been tolerable.
Also, it is so much easier to get multiple rounds of thunderstorms down here in a day. In PA it is almost always once and done for the day.

Today was…disappointing lol
-
Looks like a line-ish (lol) is trying to form now from Chambersburg northeast to Harrisburg…let’s see if it gets its act together as it moves east.
-
What a bust lol…some areas may not even see rain tonight.

Just got home and the radar doesn't look inspiring - and I'm not being a downer...there is a path to no rain whatsoever by the looks of things. (still think it will rain - but I'm starting to wonder)
I’m noticing by the radar that seems seem to be moving west to east more now than northwest to southeast. That could possibly help…looks like Adams, York, Lancaster could stay dry for another couple hours. But yeah the radar looks like crap right now…barely any reds on the radar even!
-
Down here in the LSV we have dew points in the 50s. This may be why things are staying tame right now.
-
I’ll be the first one to say it…radar does not look very exciting right now lol. Everything is weakening! We’ll see what happens over the next couple hours.
-
Is that line up in northwest PA the main show for later or is there another complex after that? The mid-Atlantic forum is saying stuff after dark, but I don’t know how. That line is dropping southeast pretty quickly. That’ll be through the LSV by 6-7 I’d say…
-
Sun is finally starting to come out here…storms are firing in north PA. Question is do we have have time to work in some instability before losing daylight?
-
Still waiting for that sun lol…

Sky has gotten even darker here since noon. It looks like an early afternoon in January when snow's about to break out, lol
Yeah the sky is even darker here now too…if we can’t clear these clouds by 3, I think we are cooked for anything today!
-
Here in York, we are totally socked in with clouds! I think it is from the remains of the MCS now moving out of PA and into MD? I hope we break in sun here soon…

Huge cell NW of Gettysburg. I can see the tops from Reisterstown.
That cell is quickly going poof right before it hits here unfortunately… We will see what that other line does over the next couple hours, but it’s not too impressive right now.

Hey guys just popping in here! Looks like an active evening coming for storms. Round 2 is looking pretty healthy out by Adam’s/Cumberland counties. Then looks like we got even another line forming further back towards Pittsburgh that should march east….
-
Radar looks amazing...school districts around here have got to be thinking what have they done sending kids to school this AM lol. This looks to continue through at least 2.

Laying on the sides roads here as well. We usually have issue with that near these marginal temps.
...and all the school districts around me are operating as normal today! Great!
-
I really hope school districts make the right decision in the morning...this thing sounds like it could come in hot and heavy! I’m worried that if they wake up and see it’s not snowing yet, they won’t cancel!

Is that current line modeled to reach the LSV later?
