Storm Clouds

The cluster down in MD seems to be the focus right now. Wonder if we can get anything else to pop in the area later? Time will tell…

I was just on the Northwest River Trail biking a couple days ago. Hopefully no one got caught on the trail in that sucker lol

I love it…severe storm heading right towards MU. Poor Elliot, called that too soon lol!

The disturbance responsible for today’s isolated showers and storms is tracking well to our north across NY State and New England. Thus, I don’t expect any #SevereWeather across northern MD or southeastern PA this afternoon. #GoodNews

 

Yikes…and a storm just got warned down heading towards Frederick too! Lol

The cells that are popping today are barely moving…will be interesting to see how the radar looks in a few hours. 

I can confirm that was a legit storm that rolled through central York county. Honestly it was probably the best storm we’ve had all season here so far…only lasted like 5 minutes, but it packed a punch with heavy rain and probably a couple 30mph wind gusts. Recorded .71 in the gauge. 

That line needs to develop further to the southwest in MD otherwise it’ll probably miss York and Lancaster. Looks like it’s gradually pushing northeast instead of east…

No lightning or thunder whatsoever with this line, but much needed heavy rain. Odd. 

Look out Adams, York, and Lancaster counties...line is growing. Dark to my west.

Is that a line I see starting to form?

Definitely a solid line starting to grow Huntington to Bedford…should be fun to watch as it moves east!

Hey it’s windy AF again and cold…but no snow! What an awesome winter!

For like 5 minutes there were big flakes mixing in with the rain and I thought maybe it would flip for awhile, but now it’s just pouring raining. 36 degrees and rain…what a horrid winter. 

The GFS was spot on with tonight’s storm 8 days ago when the Canadian was showing a snowstorm for us. No different this time…move along. Maybe we can score later in the month. This is just not our winter. 

This winter blows…that is all!

Exactly my point. This winter has been exhausting…tracking everything just goes in the opposite direction of how we want it to trend. The fact that the GFS has been rock steady and now everything is trending towards it is a big sign that’s its game over at least for anyone south of the turnpike.

Everything has been trending northwest the last 24 hours of model runs. Nothing is stopping it from continuing to do so. It has been the trend all winter for storms to cut to our west. The writing is on the wall for this one. 

It’s over…someone please put this horrid winter to rest already!

Yeah there are storms in MD, but the are going to stay down there. Nothing is going up in Central PA…

It’s crazy…the whole complex just refuses to go into York/Lancaster counties. So weird! 

What’s the expected start time of the snow? 

Checked out the Mid-Atlantic forum…complaining that it’s not even snowing down there yet like they didn’t even get a 6-12 inch storm 3 days ago!
