  1. When you can get Zapp’s, everything else is garbage.
  2. That censor is probably FUBAR’d - the eye is just west of NOLA now. It’s gone more east than forecast. NOLA is in trouble.
  3. Ida made landfall around 6 hours ago is still a 130 mph storm. Swampland does nothing to a storm. It has slowed down so much those small shrimping communities are going to be wiped off the map and part of the Gulf. NOLA is in for a world of wind damage itself.
  4. I know there is a trough that forms, but why are we a jackpot for rain? Is it cause that trough prevents the system from moving once it gets here?
  5. It changes annually sooooo good luck.
  6. If shut down properly not at all. If not shut properly, yes
  7. Photos of the eye from Port Fourchon https://imgur.com/gallery/612vtns
  8. Dude is out walking his dogs as they’re on the edge of a damn eyewall.
  9. Comment says it is a cellphone with a 50k mah backup in a pelican case mounted 8’ off the ground to a steel pole
  10. I’ll settle for him to be able to tell 1 at this point. Hopefully he ended up leading north early this am.
  11. Yea we’re gonna need a selfie at the “welcome to pillow” sign kthnx
  12. Port Fourchon - one of the largest gas production facilities in the country - looks to be ground zero for the eye’s landfall.
  13. I know that area decently well - the world ends in Houma. Nothing south/east is safe in a storm, for sure.
  14. Turns out have a friend who didn’t leave - he’s SE of Houma. A shrimper. He’s a tough dude but cmon man.
  15. Something to watch - 3 of NOLA’’s 20 pumps are down and the other 17 are all already at capacity.
  16. Wedding photo shoot happening right now on the French quarter webcam https://www.earthcam.com/usa/louisiana/neworleans/bourbonstreet/?cam=catsmeow2
  17. Just caught up … they’re gonna get the NE eyewall. Ugh. Have quite a few friends all down in the bayou x they are tough folk but they’ve been hit over and over and over again recently.
  18. Damn good show and it felt like a mid September night with the breeze. Very pleasant.
  19. I’m at 79 which is the high of the day. Then breeze is nice but it is very soupy. That line out west also ain’t moving so I doubt it gets over the mountains.
  20. I have an outdoor concert to be at in Harrisburg at 8 pm. Will that line die out?
  21. It’s gonna miss NOLA - which is bad news for Lafayette which has been absolutely hammered the last few years. But good news for a lot cause it’ll hit most swamp land.
  22. My friend 2 miles away had 2.6” rain yesterday while we didn’t get a drop. Impressive.
