  1. River is always open, if you like catching weird biblical disease.
  2. Isolated severe - won't be widespread but will have a few cells that pop for strong winds. Dorothy and Toto won't be in PA I doubt, thankfully.
  3. It’s windier than I imaged - blowing in the low 20s. Feels nice though.
  4. Interesting - it’s been dry here since 9 or so a. Cloudy day, high hit 72.
  5. This is the most depressing chart I’ve ever seen.
  6. That sucks, Voyager. Today feels hotter than I imagined it would.
  7. I’m no numbers guy - someone needs to do the math!
  8. That video brings back memories if when I was stuck in a 1998 Ford Ranger in a tornado. We had stopped near an overpass due to hail and the extreme rain and made a mad dash to the little crevice between the deck and pillars. That truck wasn’t flipped but it was moved about 30’. Scary stuff.
  9. Ha, phrasing issue. I played HS football in Texas - I wasn’t nearly good enough to play in college lol. But we had Texas season tickets too and there are scorchers in September and sometimes October
  10. Hook 'em \m/ Texas opens at 3:30 p.m. with the Ragin' Cajuns. Forecast high in Austin is 101 with a 78 dewpoint. I played in and attended in so many of those games with that heat it's a miracle I'm alive.
  11. We did and I honestly thought it was a waste of time. Much better views closer to homes without lines up King’s Mountain. It was like. A dirt road through the woods - to me nothing special. I don’t get the fascination. YMMV.
  12. Let’s get the majority of leaves off the trees before we get snow, just to be safe.
  13. As we dry out from Ida, we look to have a period of average temps which we should all enjoy. Good riddance, summer.
  14. It's very dry out considering it rained 6" yesterday. I went to weed a bit and it is like it never rained. I guess the overnight winds dried everything out. There are no puddles anywhere around.
  15. So who's starting the fall thread? Seems like a good time to put this summer one to rest.
  16. These are the entires ... from a glance it looks like @losetoa6, @Itstrainingtime and @Bubbler86 were closest to the stations. But again I'm not a numbers guy so err to anyone who is! canderson Harrisburg 4.2" Lancaster 5.1" York 5.2" Tamaqua 2.9" Williamsport 2.9" State College 3.1" Chambersburg 5.4" Clearfield 1.3" itstrainingtime Harrisburg 4.97" Lancaster 6.09" York 5.88" Tamaqua 5.02" Williamsport 1.96" State College 2.77" Chambersburg 5.41" Clearfield 1.66" Bubbler86 Harrisburg 7.1" Lancaster 6.3" York 5.7" Tamaqua 5.7" Williamsport 4.6" State College 4.8" Chambersburg 6.2" Clearfield 4.4" caveman Harrisburg: 3.25" Lancaster: 2.75" York: 3.10" Tamaqua: 4.75" Williamsport: 1.75" State College: 2.25" Chambersburg: 4.00" Clearfield: 1.50" paweather5 Harrisburg: 8.5 Lancaster: 6 northern, southern 3 to 4. 17. There's long been a theory that ex-tropical systems once inland can't produce monster tornadoes, but rather spinups (EF 0, mayyyybe a 1). That NJ tornado looks like an EF 4 to me.
  18. MDT recoded 6.64” rain today. 3rd wettest September day (behind Agnes in 1972 and Lee in 2011).
