Today’s high was 88. At 12:30, it’s 91.
Good job, good effort.

It was an historic miss for me today.
Shady Maple, eh?
I know and feel your pain now.
Nah had to meet someone from Kutztown for a delivery and she picked up fabric from a fabric store there. We didn’t do buffets before this pandemic, sure as hell not doing them now!

Speaking of getting missed - I was watching a small, but intense line of storms move out of York county directly at me. Lightning was flashing, thunder was roaring and the sky was dark. Very dark. That thing got just about over me, split, and re-consolidated about 2 miles to my east. I do not believe a single drop fell on my yard. It was a pretty bizarre thing to watch unfold.
That happened because yesterday I wished for a few dry days. I got what I asked for.
Time to go out and water the garden now.
My wife had to run to East Earl (Lancaster Co) and ran into really heavy rain around Elizabethtown. Said most cars had pulled off the road actually.

Here is a big reason the ACC is not cancelling as of now
I don’t see any school president wanting to expose the university to a lawsuit when a player suffers serious medical issues. I think it’s all a legality issue.

Big Ten officially cancels fall sports - hoping to try again in spring.
Pac 12 news conference this afternoon likely for the same.

ESPN has not even reported on this yet. Did they cancel or postpone until Spring?
Cancelled, Formal announcement tomorrow.
-
You guys probably heard already but the Big 10 has cancelled the season. Not sure why they took so long, now other conferences can cancel and not take all the heat themselves.

Hoping this is last of heat waves for this year.
Gonna be nasty Monday to Wednesday. Triple H weather.
.We're going to have HI over 100 at least two of the three days. Bring on autumn.

Hit 90 once again today. I think that’s the 178th time this year.

My point and click is 87-89 for the entire week, so given how the temps usually run several degrees higher, low to perhaps mid 90s sounds about right.
Mine is 93 for every day until Thursday when it’s 91.

Today was pretty nice. Now we move into a week full of the mid-90s (maybe Friday can break it down to the upper 80s ...).

I wish that we could get even half of that precip in a week during Winter and convert it into snow. That would be a week to remember!
If Harrisburg got 70” snow in a week I’d need to see a doctor for three consecutive years.

Just checked and got .2” today. Had about .3” yesterday.

Sun actually came out here for a bit but has clouded back up.

71 degrees just north of Harrisburg right now. Best it’s felt in the late afternoon here in quite some time!
.Yup! This morning was really nice too in the light light rain.
-
Is there more predicted to pop up or is it over here if it’s no longer raining? It’s moved past Harrisburg (for now).
-
It rained lightly this am - very lightly - and we have missed everything since (but it hit the river on west around 12:30). That likely ends very soon as storms progress all afternoon.
Heavy cell about to hit head on.
-
Storm just west of Danville looks .. interesting.

Happy birthday Canderson! Hope you had a good one.
I took the day off, lounged, drank almost a 12 pack of Troegs Haze Charmer and got Devons Seafood curbside. Can’t get better during a pandemic!
