  1. 28 degrees, sustained gust to 34. Wind should die down this afternoon, at least. It’s cold af.
  2. Turns out CTP issued a special statement for wind with a snow squall. Didn’t see snow.
  3. I’ve never seen radar as heavy as that with snow outside like the Sierra tops.
  4. I would assume what is falling at BUF now is the heaviest snow possible. Dear god I hope someone is on the ground recording.
  5. Band drifting south looks absolutely gnarly. Will it survive and stay moving through Buffalo proper and get down to Hamburg?
  6. After 2’ if it’s windy it’s virtually impossible to get a precise snow measurement. I think we can give Buffalo Weather the benefit of the doubt on his data and trust it like we trust the next sunrise.
  7. 24 was my low. Haven’t been outside today yet but I assume it’s nippily.
  8. Friday doesn’t look awful - that storm I’m skeptical of. Without it temps won’t be too cold I don’t think. I’m in NYC Wed-Fri and happy about the warmth. Last thanksgiving we were there it was 10 (2019). That f’n sucked.
  9. Weekend looks pretty frigid for mid to late November. Thanksgiving looks balmy - sunny and ~50.
  10. I spit out my wine when I turned the Nest cam on and saw this.
  11. Just want to say you are doing God’s work, @BuffaloWeather Be careful cleaning up, as you know it csn be deadly!
  12. Southern part of the line absolutely collapsed.
  13. That is the slowest squall line I’ve ever seen.
  14. Two concurrent snow squall warnings out west - one just west of Johnstown and the other n Clearfield.
  15. Car said 34, house gauge was 34 and rose to 36 around 8 when it went to plain rain. I guess a real, real tight thermal window.
  16. They were huge flakes here - huge, wet, flakes. Driving home from Starbucks at 6 my wife actually said she felt more uncomfortable driving that she has in any run of the mill 2-3" January clipper. Something about the flakes were putting off weird light and reflecting since they were mixed with rain. It was just heavy enough to stick to roads, which still shocks me given how wet it was.
