saw the same temp on my drive into work down in warrenton.   I posted in the disco obs thread

We boomed out in Warrenton,  Ended up with 3".  Had about 3 hours of really good rates    All that snow led to a colder than forecasted drive into work.  The thermometer in the truck was bouncing around like a cheerleader at a football game, but the lowest temperature I saw  was 7 degrees.  my truck is generally +/- 2 accurate.  Impressive!  Cant wait to see tomorrows temperatures with the snow cover still in place

I'll take an -AO and roll em any time.  -NAO has played less and less of a factor in our last few/many years, and is becoming harder to achieve.  What are the reasons/mechanisms behind it...

We can and will snow in less than perfect setups and with other indicies in our favor. 

We need to stop chasing the perfect pattern.  It rarely exists.

I would love to put him on ignore.  Sadly I  cant see how to do it.  Can some one please share how?

@showmethesnow interested to know how long the TSA lines are leaving vegas

looks to be about over in Warrenton, that is unless this low starts to crank up and spin some of that energy back this way.   From watching the last hour or two of radar returns I highly doubt thats going to happen

its been snowing off and on in opal VA (just south of warrenton) since just before noon.  glad im in the bulls eye zone  for a change
