I was up in Emmitsburg and Thurmont earlier to get my son around 9-10pm and it was snowing pretty good for sure. I will say... rates and accumulation were notably better closer to where 15 meets 70 (Frederick) than it was at mount Saint Mary’s.

Huh, usually it is the other way around. We definitely had some nice rates right around 10pm here.

RIP to Christopher Plummer. Absolute legend, all the way to the end. He was fantastic in Knives Out just last year.

I was in Saltzburg, Austria a few years back and the people there still tell stories about him from when they filmed The Sound of Music.  He would be singing in the hotels with locals after a full day of shooting.

  3. I don't have nearly as much time to spend going on photography trips as I want, so I find myself shooting around the yard.  I'm sure many have been the same way over the last 10 months or so due to covid.  I'll update with some other photos, but here are a few that I took yesterday of the birds at the feeder in the snow.  Missed my focus point on the White-Throated Sparrow (tree branch in perfect focus ) but I still like how it came out.

    Share away!

R&C here. On ice. I’m mixing

My wife went back to work 4-5 days a week starting today, leaving me home for virtual learning with two kids while I try to do my own full time job.  It's a whisky on the rocks kind of night.

Mammoth does live up to its name. Whenever there's an AR snow blitz in the Sierras, Mammoth always seems to be near or top of the list.

I can't imagine seeing that kind of accumulation in person.  Must be absolutely wild

I don't care much about amounts. I just want to be able to get out and enjoy it without having to worry about a rain soaked sloppy mess. I am rooting for the coldest solution.

Same.  If the kids can get out and play in it that's all that matters to me. I don't need much on the ground, just a few inches will do
