  1. Presently 78F. Looking forward to a couple of thundershowers with a weak frontal passage. Whippy-ding-dong!
  2. I think youall are going to get some SNOW. Like a lot! As in FEET...maybe
  3. Whoever gets the goods under that trowel pivot point is going to exceed any amount shown on any map. BOMBS AWAY
  4. I'd buy that RPM. Appear models are coming to an agreement. Heck I have no dog in the fight. Surgical team tells me I'm more than likely going to lose my right leg. In the overall scheme a snowstorm is so insignificant. No control over either so take what you get and accept it.
  5. Greetings to all. Checking in from afar. Boy do I miss being in New England. As the models turn from every run to run. More things change the more of the same I see. On FB I've already put my fore warning of the threat, like being careful of word choice in assessment. Life here in general side. Health is everything, I will spare y'all from the details. Thankfully my fallback is tracking the storms. So to keep this brief...LOL IT GONNA SNOW!
  6. Fellow wx freaks. Be thankful you don't live in Floridah. Virus is totally in control, the narrative coming from the politians doesn't fit what's actually occurring. I moved trying to distance myself. Nearest neighbor is over a thousand feet away. Surrounded self by 10 acres. Room to spread out, eventually a self sustainable off the grid farm. Two barns, 2500 sq/ft. of house. A ton of work. LOL Into full summer here Temp 95F daily, dews mid upper 70's. Soon I'll get my instruments up and working just in time for hurricane season.
  7. On a lighter note. Sure hope it doesn't offend anyone....D'OH Experienced the most beautiful sunset this evening. It was GOLD, no red hue what-so-ever. To the E darker than midnight, light rain falling. Perfect sun angle....
  8. Seriously. Think about taking a late cruise deal, probably 1/2 the price of flying. Out of harms way, maybe a little rough but cruise right around it.
  9. That is a possibility. I know a guy who cleared the land of trees. He has a bucket and if the price is right. He's probably balls-to-wall with pending incoming. I'll repost my whoa in the SE thread...fingers crossed.
  10. Timing couldn't be more perfect. My Davis went on the fritz a few weeks back. Can only attribute to a possible lightning strike. Figures I've been smack-dab ground zero for repeated runs, always thought that was the place to be five days out...shall see... I have a back-up (TX Weather, the 8000 model) and been wanting to seat for a few months now. Health issues have prevented me from getting on the roof disassembling old, attaching the new. Mostly it's the retraction of a telescoping antenna 40ft to the top and getting the guy-wire secured. Possible storm of a lifetime, the good Lord will not allow this to happen! I'm loaded for BEAR. Structure will withstand 150mph+, provision wise must go get some Fillet-Mignon. Generac is locked and loaded (100GA of propane) good for a week. Lost electric Mathew for a week, never again...
  11. Living in the Heights in Arlington the amounts I reported where always suspect especially in Spring. Admittedly never used a board or the 6hr. spotter (correct) training technique. A 1/2 dozen random measurements away from drifts. Wanting to contribute giving a more accurate spread to the NWS. Washington St where the house was, was atop a 300ft hill, visually noticeable from top to bottom surrounds. The only person to question the accuracy was myself.
  12. Thinking some had very high expectations, thus the critique. I regret posting the HRRR snow map from this morning. Was just trying to keep those expectation in check, that and showing amounts cut in 1/2. Whoa is me. Oh and I don't like those preliminary snow totals simply because there are to many gaps and are far from accurate as is every snow accumulation map. BLIZZARD conditions met in several locals. Bigger snow (fal)l storms with B Warnings issued had less on numerous occasions.
  13. Big hiccup or belch. THIS Maybe it's my computer....wrong date...Don't look. Carry on with your regular broadcast.
  14. DO NOT LOOK AT THE HRRR. Save the anguish just look out the window. Be happy with what you get!
  15. Congrats on the issuance of Blizzard Warning for Weymouth.
