No, seriously, I am at the brink of Ray Bradbury, short story, insanity with regards to rain. I would take insane dry, cold winter over, potentially, warm rainy winter, with chances of epic snowstorms.

Not enough sex, Severe arthritis to vertebrae, 3 herniated disks, complete compression of Claudia equine nerve. First surgery Wed went ok, Dr said back was. So bad he did 5 surgeries in 1, then something happened a disc ruptured and my left leg was paralyzed so more Surgery Tues. Now at home with a walker and lots of pain.
I wouldn't wish back pain on my worst enemy . Hope the your pain subsides quickly and you're back to your pot stirring self in no time.

Color should be beautiful this year with all the moisture. And the cool down will come no matter what. Looks like a big step down toward the weekend. Normal early October then the floor drops out from under us for a long time. Mix in some storms and we're lining up for a winter to remember and then some.
How do I know, extraordinary production of fruits, berries, and nuts, squirrels with ridiculously bushy, and my grandmother's "old wives tales" that prove surprisingly correct. Hunch, intuition, the inner weenie in me expressing myself? And one of the various Farmers Almanacs out there confirming my wishcasting, too.
Great post!

The amount of dead Oaks along roads in many parts of town is insane. They just did a crush job in certain locations the last few years. There’s also ones this year that were not totally eaten , but all of them have turned brown . So I don’t know if that means they died or just done for season or maybe the humid summer contributed. Maybe Tamarac would know. But, I do not recall seeing any with brown leaves the last 2 summers like this one .
Unfortunately those trees are dead and will not be returning

"As the summer rolls on, this will be the twelfth weekend since Memorial Day Weekend. A whopping nine of those weekends have seen measurable rain somewhere in the Garden State. (The exceptions are 6/16-6/17, 6/30-7/1, and 7/7-7/8.) Of course, that tally includes this Saturday and Sunday — which neither day looks like a total washout, the weekend certainly looks predominately wet."

It does actually strike me as an interesting point ... that 'here' - ness of it all.. Heh.
Up here in N-central Massachusetts, along Rt 2/Mohawk trail blah blah ..it's been fantastic.
Perhaps not so much down there in the drainage ditch of CT... ha ha. Just kidding -
But the cloud and sun ratio is available data. Perhaps someone wants to geek it for a bit and put together those graphics.. Even comparing to other seasons and climo on the matter. That would put some empirical weight behind it and offer some 'righteous indignation' for the 'horrible' summer. I'm actually curious. I mean, this is a weather forum.. that's a real sensible element of it -
I was hoping Ginx would he seems to be the best man for the job .

Terrible year of yellow jackets. Destruction of 2 huge nests complete, 3 stings not bad. Bugs, mold, ozone, health advisories. Great summer
The bane of my existence . I've stumbled into two nests and escaped unscathed . Unlikely my luck will hold . This time of year they become very dangerous since they can see the dark at the end of the tunnel .

Very dull , took an afternoon yesterday and drove around Putnam, Pomfrett , Woodstock etc. kind of weird since last week I spent the afternoon near Sunapee and the foliage was about the best I've ever seen .
