  1. Nice map. Not going to lie, I thought the original post question mark was… the forecast
  2. Not expecting too much up this way, but it has been a fun week of modeling! I hope we get an unexpected tuck and the whole forum over performs. So much potential… but seems to be wide right at this point for a big one. (For central/northern pa). Everyone enjoy!
  3. They were definitely pretty impressive! Was not expecting to be woken up by a thunderstorm last night that’s for sure!
  4. Wtf… I can’t recall a severe thunderstorm like this in February. Also not forecast.
  5. Still steady moderate snow up here, 5 degrees, with around 11 inches otg. Was a little surprised by the refreshed warning… calling for an additional 4-8! hope everyone gets some white fluff to finish this one off.
  6. Moderate snow, 5 degrees and just under 5 inches otg.
  7. Dropped below 0 earlier than expected here tonight. Temp has been dropping this afternoon/evening quickly! exciting to finally have a nice storm to track. Best of luck to everyone, the tracking finale tomorrow into a snowy Sunday funday sounds like a great weekend! Enjoy!
  8. Not sure about north facing mountain roads, but overall the thaw over the last week melted the vast majority of the ice. There are only spotty areas of snow and ice in shaded spots where I am, down to grass almost everywhere. So happy that mess is gone, hopefully we get a little snow tonight to make it white again.
  9. WOW that is impressive, fingers crossed! Just don’t like the snow hole up here, I want over 4 feet as well
  10. Nothing can clear this mess, I gave up a long time ago. Just throwing a combination of salt, sand and ash from my wood stove to get enough traction to get in and out. For sure this has been really hard on the animals. I’m not seeing nearly as many or seeing tracks like I usually do, think it’s just impossible for them to move around. Fingers crossed for a thaw.
  11. Yea, still very icy up here, I for one am ready for the warm up this week, really hoping it will get rid of the ice. My driveway and sidewalks are still a sheet of ice! Almost falling every time you go outside is getting very old. However after this melts, I’m ready for plenty more cold and snow… just hoping for no more ice like this!
  12. That’s the point I’m at as well. Steady light freezing drizzle, 23 degrees. I can pretty much walk on top of the sleet on my patio, trees accumulating ice. Clean up is going to be a mess.
  13. Near Wellsboro, started off around 2pm with a few mangled flakes but almost all pingers. Now, a heavy mixture of mostly sleet and some freezing rain, VERY icy 20 degrees.
  14. With all the northern tier talk, thought I would drop a message. I’m in tioga county, and it has been a very nice start to winter up here, especially the last two days. It snowed all day yesterday, and have had some nice squalls coming through all day today(a very heavy one about an hour ago), loving the snow and cold so far to start winter! Hope the LSV cashes in before any warm up!
  15. more than me up here, have at least an inch of sleet and about 2 of snow. We had all sleet with a little zr till about 1 then it switched over to all snow, but the precipitation was lacking. Unless the radar really starts filling in over night this is going to be a pretty big bust on the wsw 6-12 we had this morning.
