The “I bring the mojo” Jan 30-Feb 1 potential winter storm
senc30 replied to lilj4425's topic in Southeastern States
IMBY here in Jacksonville, I ended up with 14" with drifts in some spots 5' deep. Yesterday and today I sure did miss Skip. We would be emailing back and forth about this storm and he would be over the moon excited for everyone with all this snow. -

Here is Jacksonville, I woke up to the windows at the house all half covered in an inch of snow from the wind blowing it so much during the night. Guess it's added insulation. -

So far, we are at 8" in Jacksonville. We had a stretch where it didn't snow for an hour and a half. -

4.5" here in Jacksonville. Started around noon and hasn't stopped since. Looking at the radar, it doesn't appear it will be stopping anything soon. Averaging an inch an hour at this time. -

Seeing that they are expecting the snow to start here(jacksonville) as early as 4am. I thought it was supposed to be closer to noon. Will be interesting to see what we get. So many different amounts shown that I have zero clue. -

Looks like the gfs dropped numbers a lot for the coastal area. -

So far, every model is saying 7"+ for me except the Euro. It is saying 3". Will be interesting to see exactly what happens. At least for my area, it's on an island by itself. -

Probably the same way long island reacts to a glorified thunderstorm with a name. Haha -
Finally started here in Jacksonville. Started out as hard pellets but is now changing over to flakes.

Welp, woke up this morning to no 85 and no hurricane but the amounts did change avain. Now showing 5-8 inches in Jacksonville. What a roller coaster ride this has been.

Here in Jacksonville, my weather app said 0" this morning. At noon it said 1-3" and now says 3-5". I figure tomorrow it will say high of 85 with a hurricane coming.
