    Straight through winter? ;)

It was a very nice day. Great evening too. Love having more daylight.

I’d take this year round. How anyone could get sick of this type of weather and long daylight is beyond me.

  2. Just saw a big ol fox outside our front door screeching like a banshee. I think it was looking for our borderline feral cat outside and wanted to have a little fun time in the garden lol. In other news, the dews have returned with a vengeance! Let that sweet, salty air in baby.

Imagine all the swarms of mosquitoes and sweaty dads cooking up burgers on Memorial Day after another monsoon rolls through. We tried to warn em!

Omg, if this wind would go away, today would have been perfect. Definitely dry, cold season airmass. Temp got up to 58 but it's chilly. Low temp overnight is 30-31 degrees. I'm super excited for tomorrow through Wednesday! I assume the black flies should be hatching shortly, but no swarms yet, so yay for that!

Saw tons of them latching on to muddy puddles and shallow pools during my walk in the woods earlier. I think in less than a week it’s gonna get pretty rough with new waves of the little vampires fanning out in every possible direction.

  5. Felt like a late summer day with the high sun angle and of course, the increasingly long daylight. The breeze did make it feel a little nippy at times but after the recent deluge, I can’t complain at all. Can’t believe how dry the air is too, almost desert like with this airmass over us. We take and bake!

  6. That wind is just howling out there and the rains keep on falling.  We’ve had far weaker storms than this in the middle of the winter than this evenings madness. Go friggin figure! Oh and we’re now at an 1.5” of rain on the day..I’m sure the exploding flowers and trees appreciate every bit of water!

It will feel like we're in Florida with that heat and humidity? :(

God, I felt so blessed by the past couple of days. My windows open, letting that naturally cool air in. I don't want it to go away.

That too but more so the bugs coming out of the woodwork and scaring the heck out of us when we least expect it! I don’t mind the toads though. I’ve started seeing a few of those tubby amphibians popping up during my evening walks with the dog. Those things don’t budge no matter what lol.

Let’s not. We’re fine. Got Friday again too.

I say if it’s gonna rain, let it pour baby. I want to see crocodiles and hippos floating down my street with my fat neighbor floating by on his raft yelling obscenities at me while I take another sip of my mudslide and dismissively tip my glass at him. Just imagine the madness!

  9. Let’s shift some of that steady moisture further east about 100 miles. We’ve probably picked up about 3/4 inch from just quick hitting showers+downpours, but it pales in comparison to what others have got.

The infamous zone of suck rears its ugly head once again. Folks in the interior think I’m full of it but if you walk outside it’s like standing on the side of a fishing boat with a bunch of salty, pudgy men wondering where it all went wrong.

  11. Congrats to everyone who got in on the action but as usual with these west-east tracks, just a quick shower here. Hardly enough to wash away one of the many layers of pollen starting to build. Heck of a day though before the clouds started building!

Every friggin year, like clockwork! The zone of suck never fails to disappoint in coastal New England. Somewhere deep in the archives of Mayan mythology lies an entire book on this disturbingly predictable phenomenon that seems to occur with such regularity and precision that one could almost tune their half naked daily walks in the yard to its expected arrival!

Closing day brought a couple inches of snowfall at the plots

    0-4” on the trails.

Above 3,000ft saw 4” or more per MMSP.  We could only verify 2” so far.

Incredible, it’s such a different world in the northern reaches of New England, even now. Totally looking forward to those glorious shots of the mountain vista once the endless days of warmth and sun take over!

good weekend to have the windows open.. no install needed

I keep ‘em closed at night. As a certified insomniac, the sound of the birds screeching at 5am is enough to drive me mad. I don’t understand why they feel the need to cause such a ruckus at the ass crack of dawn everyday. Whatever they’re discussing at that ungodly hour couldn’t possibly be so urgent!
