  1. Just got back from a dreary walk down the street and it’s pretty bad in places. At the bottom, part of our neighbors drive away is washed away and there is a pile of asphalt and rocks where it once existed. Along that same driveway, part of the side of the lawn has been literally carved away from the runoff. We’re fortunate enough to live in high part of town but others are clearly not as lucky. It’s just amazing what fast, running water can do to solid objects including mounds of pollen, which have just about all been disposed of! Can’t believe it’s still raining out, 5” and counting..
  2. And more boomers..judging by the radar, that line is blossoming just offshore, maybe we can get it to pivot back west for a little more action
  3. We get our jackpots when we don’t usually want em but I’m glad to see the piles of pollen being washed away with brute force this time around. This storm has been more than impressive so far and it’s still coming down steadily. We must be over 4” by now too.
  4. Hey if we get a few more events like this over the next couple weeks, us dew crewers might see it happen soon! If only it would come without all the damn ants that love to descend on every sugar granule and crumb left behind.
  5. That one was a house shaker. Please let’s save some of the magic for the summer lol.
  6. Almost looks like a mini meso over se mass..this is wild!
  7. Friggin firehose right now, holy crap man..
  8. It’s unbelievable. Why can we never seem to get these storms to line up like this in the middle of the winter and instead we get them in the ass end of May? It’s friggin dumping out there right now.
  9. God I wish I was there..soon though, it’s coming. As Paula dean once said, help is on the way!
  10. Another beauty out there today for sure. It sounds like the love train might come to a screeching halt for a while but can’t complain after the last few days. Funny how the air has just started taking on that summer-like feel as the warmth has begun to dominate this part of the world. This change is so subtle but after a while you just embrace it. I leave you all with a couple little shots earlier I took of the birds, one of which I believe is a rose grosbeak, something I’ve never seen before and another of a gray catbird, which I don’t believe is a common sight either. Ya really can’t miss the screeching sound of the catbird lol.
  11. Misty, foggy and a hint of dewiness in the air..it must be mid May in New England!
  12. I’d take this year round. How anyone could get sick of this type of weather and long daylight is beyond me.
  13. Just saw a big ol fox outside our front door screeching like a banshee. I think it was looking for our borderline feral cat outside and wanted to have a little fun time in the garden lol. In other news, the dews have returned with a vengeance! Let that sweet, salty air in baby.
  14. Imagine all the swarms of mosquitoes and sweaty dads cooking up burgers on Memorial Day after another monsoon rolls through. We tried to warn em!
  15. Saw tons of them latching on to muddy puddles and shallow pools during my walk in the woods earlier. I think in less than a week it’s gonna get pretty rough with new waves of the little vampires fanning out in every possible direction.
  16. Felt like a late summer day with the high sun angle and of course, the increasingly long daylight. The breeze did make it feel a little nippy at times but after the recent deluge, I can’t complain at all. Can’t believe how dry the air is too, almost desert like with this airmass over us. We take and bake!
  17. That wind is just howling out there and the rains keep on falling. We’ve had far weaker storms than this in the middle of the winter than this evenings madness. Go friggin figure! Oh and we’re now at an 1.5” of rain on the day..I’m sure the exploding flowers and trees appreciate every bit of water!
  18. Hummingbirds don’t seem to mind the monsoon! Perfect day for a little sugary top off.
  19. Yes soon it shall be raining cats and horse dongs. Let’s all pray for safety in these trying times!
  20. It’s about to dump like the dickens in less than 15 mins here..that slug of moisture means business baby!
  21. That too but more so the bugs coming out of the woodwork and scaring the heck out of us when we least expect it! I don’t mind the toads though. I’ve started seeing a few of those tubby amphibians popping up during my evening walks with the dog. Those things don’t budge no matter what lol.
  22. And you know what follows once the sun finally comes out of hiding..
  23. I say if it’s gonna rain, let it pour baby. I want to see crocodiles and hippos floating down my street with my fat neighbor floating by on his raft yelling obscenities at me while I take another sip of my mudslide and dismissively tip my glass at him. Just imagine the madness!
