Ian
To enter info, go to edit your profile: http://www.americanw...rcp&tab=members Under the main page scroll to "Other Information" and go to: Metar Code For Weather Conditions (Such as KDCA) In the text box below enter the nearest weather major weather station to your location. Note that entry must be in all caps then save changes. For a full list by state (ICAO), please see: http://aviationweath...rs/stations.txt Also, you can search for your town on Weather Underground and see which station (Airport only) is closest: http://www.wunderground.com This was just added by our highly skilled innovation crew™ and may be modified a bit. Herb@MAWS
I know with EUSWX there were problems with WxUnderground personal weather stations posting current data on EUSWX -- data would come and go/drop-off -- any plan to revisit this at some point ? -- as the personal wx station data is often much closer to "IMBY reality" than the airport data. CapturedNature
Has a decision been made if this is possible or not? I live in an area where the nearest airport is not representative of my weather and it's nice to see this during storms, especially winter. I think a lot of members have their own stations and this would be a nice feature,
