AccuWeather WS-2000 Ambient Weather Station

I am thinking about getting a new home weather station.  Does anyone have experience with the AccuWeather WS-2000 Ambient Weather Station?  If so, I would please love to hear your thoughts.

I have had a Vevor station that I liked that lasted a couple of years until the solar charger window crusted over from sun exposure and I started loosing connectivity.  I just tried a SainLogic SA8 Plus and it frustratingly looses connectivity like it was it's day job!  Every night when the temps hit about 33 degrees, despite using brand new Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, it would drop all night.  It would eventually reconnect when it warmed back but it drove me bonkers.   It was only 35 feet from the base station with line of sight thorough the window and it would still drop so I just returned it.

I now running a Airrain 10-1 station but Amazon didn't say it was an entry level unit in the description so it is about to go back but at least it stays connected.  It is just pretty basic.

I really like the reviews on the AccuWeather WS-2000 Ambient Weather Station but would really like some input from some of the hobbyist and Mets here on the board that may be using it.

Thank you very much!

I have the ws2902 and love it. I love seeing all the info on my phone. The only issue I have had was when changing Internet providers. Took me awhile to reconnect. I would highly recommend it. The 2000 looks like a more advanced console and a few extra goodies. Can't go wrong with either in my book

Thank you very much!

I pulled the trigger on the AccuWeather WS-2000 and it is a high quality, very nice station.

I love all of the information that it shows on the main screen without having to toggle through menus to find the information you are looking for.

On the main base station home screen out of the box it displays:

Outdoor info: Current temp, max and minimum temp for the day, dew-point, humidity, barometric pressure, current wind, current gusts, 10 minute average wind, max high wind for the day (12am-12pm).  For rain it shows rain "event" data, hourly rain, it shows/compiles weekly rain amounts, monthly rain amounts and yearly rain amounts.  It shows sunrise and sunset times and has a cool graphic showing where the sun is (in the sky) in the daily dawn to dusk cycle.

Indoor Info: Temperature and humidity.  You can get attachments to the station that will show lightening strike data, you can get add-on sensors for indoor and outdoor air quality data, you can get a pool temp sensor and a ground moisture sensor for gardeners or farmers.

I brought my station online with Weather Underground on their weather station network which was fairly easy.  In the setup instruction it says you will see the Weather Underground icon when you are connected but I never got that to show even though I am connected and my station is sending continual updates.  I saw some YouTube videos from other users that experienced the same thing and apparently Ambient customer service said not to worry about it because apparently you can be connected without the icon showing on the base station.

I am trying to find how I can add it to the Windfinder network which is invaluable for boating but no luck so far .

Overall this thing is way better than any other weather station I have tried. I am very happy with it!

I highly recommend it!
