The is july is going to go down as the warmest july on record at Philadelphia. This is the 4th consecutive top 10 warm month and an incredible 11 out of the past 16 months.

The (21) 90 or > days this month also ties several months as the most on record.

100 degree heat also making comeback after a hiatus for the better part of the past decade, triple digit heat in consecutive yrs for only the 2nd time since the 1950's.

Excellent stats! Really shows how hot it has been the past 2 summers.

A few things that stand out are the number of 90+ days in May 1991...7 more than the year in 2nd place. Wow! Also, those 7 days in September 1983 of 90+ were crazy...easily one of the hottest September stretches I can remember (a number of those days topped out in the 95 to 98 range). Sitting in school during the first full week with no A/C was not much fun.

Any chance we'll catch last year's all-time record hottest summer? I know it shattered the old mark by a full degree, so I'm guessing this summer won't quite get there.

August would have to be the warmest on record and then some (81.2 is the magic #)....warmest August on record is 80.0 in 1980.
