  1. Hasn't that been our issue of late? Even when we get blocking, it links up with the SE ridge. Hopefully the Nino couples with the atmosphere this year and beats down the pig ridge. Bit more sticky out there this morning, 73F/DP 63F.
  2. Heard my first katydid last night. It was also the first night in weeks I had the AC off and windows open, so maybe they've been out there for awhile and I hadn't noticed. 62F/DP 60F
  3. 89F for a high today, so no “heatwave” here. Regardless, it was still a bad hair week. AC off with a refreshing breeze blowing through. Final items still to check off on the summer list are hearing katydids and seeing cicada killers.
  4. Getting a sun shower right now. I’ll have to go rainbow hunting in a bit. 85F/DP 77F
  5. About .20” in the bucket last night, getting a light shower now. Anything to add to the dews 72F/DP 71F
  6. Looks like it blew up after passing us, great light show off to the south. But it did drop my temp down to 76F.
  7. I didn’t check the obs but was outside around 8am and it wasn’t horrible. Stepped out again around 9:30 and fuhgettaboutit!! Currently 87/DP 77F
  8. Finished with about .90” for the day, 71F/DP 69F. On a side note, Lowes has some Halloween decorations out already.
  9. Picked up a quick .50”, dropped my temp down to 68F.
  10. Getting hammered! Just heard a bolt strike close by.
  11. Yes, sneaky hot yesterday. Made it up to 89F. Sun starting to pop out here as an area of clearing moves in.
  12. Sounds like a good crop of acorns coming in this year, the house has been getting bombed for a few weeks now. 72F/DP 66F
  13. Seriously, “the sky is falling, we’re all going to die” posts are ridiculous. Our new climate is weeks of drought followed by weeks of flooding rains.
  14. Radar looked awesome, I thought we were going to get smacked. M’eh. Still, temp and dews down to 66F, AC off and windows open. About .40” so far with light rain.
  15. My cumulus are looking rather conspicuous. 82F/DP 68F
  16. Picked up a quick .10” this am. Wasn’t expecting anything but will keep the lawn green. 70F/DP 69F
  17. We’re half way through met summer, hang in there!
  18. Back in the late spring when everyone’s lawn was turning brown, Paul Pastelok at AccuWx said the NE would turn wet as we headed deeper into summer. I had my doubts but maybe he was on to something. Believe it or not but one of my neighbors is out there mowing. 77F/DP 75F
  19. Fortunately the worst of the rain has skirted my area, about .60" for the day so far. Looks like the sun is trying to peak out as well. 74F/DP 74F
  20. I was out and came home to wet ground, so something happened. My temp is down to 83F but the DP remains an atrocious 77F.
  21. It was 82F here at midnight, no wonder why I only bottomed out at 74F.
