Hasn't that been our issue of late? Even when we get blocking, it links up with the SE ridge. Hopefully the Nino couples with the atmosphere this year and beats down the pig ridge.

Heard my first katydid last night. It was also the first night in weeks I had the AC off and windows open, so maybe they've been out there for awhile and I hadn't noticed.

AC off with a refreshing breeze blowing through. Final items still to check off on the summer list are hearing katydids and seeing cicada killers.

Back in the late spring when everyone’s lawn was turning brown, Paul Pastelok at AccuWx said the NE would turn wet as we headed deeper into summer. I had my doubts but maybe he was on to something.
Believe it or not but one of my neighbors is out there mowing.
