  1. Doesn't look like it's about to snow here. Sun shining brightly through cloud cover with breaks.
  2. Started at the Ski Resorts to the south of Syracuse. It looks like a busy day down there! Live view - AXIS P5514 Network Camera
  3. I'm hoping we can combine the moisture from the front with the system...looks like it might be happening just to our SE over the normal spots...at least first.
  4. And...check out the nice solid band to our NW over Lake Ontario...
  5. Ha! For real...probably because the system to our SE is holding it up a bit. This is probably why western NY is cashing in more.
  6. Lol...why? It's the SAME thing with literally every wave/CF.
  7. Nice! The models aren't even showing an inch. Hopefully it can make it here.. but seems the Finger Lakes region shreds these solid bands often.
  8. I trust your forecasting for our area more than the Mets...other than King.
  9. Ha! True! With last year's total and this year's total combined, we have just reached one season's average.
  10. I sure hope the lake band tonight can have a bit more of a NW component to it. Otherwise, I'll be watching it train just to the north on radar.
  11. Might be a good week for some WNW lake events. Mesos are really trying to push a band along the Oswego/Onondaga border...far enough south for those of us in the N. Syracuse weenie zone to cash in a bit.
  12. Ha! Springville would be having totally different weather if I had made that decision...
  13. Icon coming in way weaker and farther south with Tuesday's system as well.
  14. Question for you guys have lived in NY longer than me. Why is it so difficult to get one of these waves/clippers on a track that gives the Thruway corridor the best snows? 18 z NAM showed it farther north and we were on the edge of heavier snow...now 00Z has it south and the best snows look to be BGM over to Catskills. We just can't seem to get something that gives Finger Lakes to Syracuse the best snows. I guess the Lakes guide it on a more northern track...and the higher elevations along the southern tier guide it that way?
  15. Yeah, I saw there was NO ridging in the Atlantic to push it northward along the coast.
  16. When was the last time we saw one of THOSE?!?! End of February into Beginning of March is a good time for coastal storms to develop. Perhaps we can have a rockin' February.
  17. I see the GFS went from its end-of-the-week idea of a Low retrograding into the Great Lakes to now missing us to the south. Haha. Going to be a loooong week! Edit: Now it has a separate event for Saturday/Sunday.
  18. Looks like there will be a nice WNW flow on the backside of that low on Tuesday/Wednesday. Nickel and diming it, eh?
  19. Yeah. They say "extreme Northern Cayuga" so maybe it won't amount to anything here.
  20. Interesting. BUF issued this HWO for Northern Cayuga, which usually can apply for this area of Onondaga. They seem to think the band will make it far enough south. Northern Cayuga- 122 PM EST Sat Feb 6 2021 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central New York. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.
