Made out like a bandit this morning as that band made it further south than anticipated with 4-5 quick inches making for a messy morning commute to Cortland (granted I asked for it). Here in Cortland they barely got a thing, half inch to an inch with light mood flakes all morning.

Also picked up 2-2.5 inches last night northeast of Ithaca - most of which melted by the afternoon. Hoping to get a glancing blow from that lake band tomorrow morning!

NAM, RGEM, HRRR all showing a good soaking for CNY tomorrow. Looks like some possible T-storms as well.

Monday’s quick hitter trending north the past few model runs. Southern Tier folks could be in for a little surprise snowfall.

Surprised to find 3-4 inches down overnight. Roads from Ithaca to Cortland were awful.

Storm came to a quick end here about 60 minutes ago. Extremely light and fluffy snow as BGM mentioned. Impossible to measure tbh. 3 foot drifts in back yard 2 in front. Just about all of that coming in the last 24 hours. Definitely a memorable one!

If I’m able to stay under this band a few more hours this has personal all time great/top 3 potential; at least in a 24 hour span. Just unreal!

Woke up to 10-12 cool fluffy inches of snow this morning. Easily best event of the year already.

Finger Lakes give and take it seems but we definitely do well here on the backend of these expansive lows that push toward Maine. Last March being another example as I recall.

Not sure if I have Ontario to thank for this or some combination of Ontario and Cayuga but definitely overperfoming here. Looks to be another band to the west enhanced by Seneca.

Picked up 4 inches tonight so far here in the hills northeast of Ithaca. Nice steady stream of moderate snow the past few hours.

Nice band forming right over my house. About a half inch down in the last 30 minutes.

Ugh tell me about it. March to April timeframe is easily my least favorite time of the year, in this part of the country at least.

Edited to emphasize sarcasm I cringe everytime i read “mother of god” or that it’s absolutely puking snow.

12z definitely more snow for our area. Gives much of CNY between .8 and 1.2 LE from tomorrow through Saturday. Hopefully keeps ticking further west.

A bigger story than the snow would be a mass weenie suicide in the NYC area if the NAM were to verify.

Those in ENY are definitely still in the game for this week’s storm. Still 4 days away.

5’ maybe 6’ if I squint IMBY. RGEM pegged eastern finger lakes as the screw zone and really nailed it. Lost too much liquid to rain early and just too far west for the big wrap around stuff.

Lansing is northeast of Ithaca just east of southern Cayuga lake. Definitely a bit of a snow hole compared to the rest of you guys but elevation + Cayuga LE typically buys me 10-20 more inches of snow a year than downtown Ith.
