Yeah, it’s 16 days away, but can’t we dream?! She rounds the bend beautifully and hits the benchmark with plenty of cold air in place. More realistic than the Canadian showing 3-4 feet last week for next weekend. Lol

    March 3rd-4th Shellacking threat

I ageee! Just not used to TWC being so liberal with their snowfall predictions.

    March 3rd-4th Shellacking threat

TWC app now forecasts 8-12” for NYC! I also checked for Queens & LI, and both still came up with 5-8”. I guess they’re thinking the Island has some rain mixed in but Manhattan is west enough to stay all snow? But 8-12” is very liberal for them!

    OBS thread 10P Mar 1-10A Mar 2, 2019

Ripping HEAVY snow here in northeastern Queens! Easily a solid inch so far. Looks like we will get 3-5" minimum here. Didn't expect such intensity with this system. And now Sunday night looks like 6"+ possible with the southern trend. Maybe the March 10th weekend storm produces enough to put NYC over the average seasonal snowfall? Yes, it is asking for a lot, but quite possible!

Glen Oaks, Northeastern Queens 13” and counting...
  6. 06z 12K NAM looks great! CCB right over NYC area several times during the run. Long duration storm as well. 32K & 3K appears similar so far.

  8. That's exactly what we want at this stage. Keeps the heights off the coast up, and consolidates all the energy into the second wave which would naturally want it to come more west. And I like the subtle shift north, given that 3-4 days is more than enough time to bring the EURO back west enough for a big hit for NYC. It is seriously our turn.
  9. And now the 00z ICON joins the party for NYC...
  10. 00z CMC shifts NORTH, bringing HEAVY snow to NYC! Sunday & Monday will be very interesting to see how this plays out. Funny, we are all worried about March suppressing a storm, in addition when the clear seasonal trend has been north, so I wont be surprised if we get a semi-cutter in the end! Lol

00z GFS brings snow for NYC Metro for this one, as she stalls out off the coast. Could #4 be the one for NYC?
  12. 6z 3K NAM west of 00z and 5mb stronger. Snow through western NJ, precip further inland than 00z.
  13. The Fat Lady is back stage at the after party already. This one is over. Maybe the audience can demand an encore. Our only hope at this point. Lol
  14. 00z GFS slightly west and 2mb stronger, but not enough for appreciable snows for NYC. Eastern New England gets the goods.

00z GEM is on board. Although it seems like a double barrel low.
