  1. It’s possible that the infection rate was much higher than confirmed. Therefore, we sort of have a herd immunity. Question is how long does that semi-immunity last? If it’s like 6 months, we’re in for some more trouble come the fall/winter. Total speculation on my part though.
  2. Same here. Tiny acorns falling.
  3. I just think people here are generally reasonable, mask when necessary, and play by the COVID rules. Great job by Canadians as well.
  4. Second consecutive day well over 1000 new deaths. New England remains a safe zone as the rest of the country is taking it on the chin.
  5. ~75" avg. Three winter's ago 132" Thanks guys. Seems like a good Winni alternative down the road. An all season getaway. Close to Portland too, which is a plus. I like NH, but there’s something about ME I just really like.
  6. Anyone know the snow climo for Raymond, ME/Sebago Lake area?
  7. Not a cloud in the sky here. Got down to 53F this morning. Not bad for mid July on the coast.
  8. Meh on the coast. 5” that melted within a few days. We’re way overdue for some north shore CJs with OES enhancement. One that drops 8-10” in Woburn and 18-20” in Gloucester.
  9. Touch of autumn today. Can’t wait.
  10. I pulled off a lousy 5” of glop in that early Dec storm last winter. We never turned over to snow until the tail end.
  11. Portland is nice. Boston vibe on a smaller scale with more snow/retention. Crappy springs still though.
  12. More to plow up there now than we had down here all winter!
  13. AEMATT Good reminder for all before the winter starts.
  14. Pretty good light show out of this one!
  15. Not a good look from some on here ganging up on @wxtrix or anyone else for that matter. Disagree with each other respectfully. Nobody has to prove their manhood on an internet weather forum. If you do, I feel sorry for you. I’ve been on this board (Easternwx before) since 2007. Some of the worst posting I’ve seen on this forum in 13 years in recent weeks. Looking forward to the winter discussions. Hopefully the toxic attitudes change for the better by then. I miss the days when the villain of the thread was @Dr. Dews when he’d be calling for rains to Maine and dews in a winter storm. Rant over.
  16. It was that bad here. The big early Dec storm dropped 5” after 80% rain to begin with as just inland was ripping. Finished the season with about 19”. Probably 5 or 6 days with snow cover. That’s horrific, even for the coast.
  17. Last year’s ratter was right up there with 01-02, 11-12. Might as well get another out of the way during the pandemic.
  18. Make everyone post a utility bill to prove their SNE residency? Lol
