I have a wood stove and burn a good amount. We’ve been on the fence about getting another cord before the end of the season. I have about a quarter of a cord left having gone through about 2 cords to date. Could be just enough or not so much.
dunno, I was up in VT so I missed it. there was a storm about 15 years ago where I got around 3 feet. that was good and the last time I did well. If you look on a map, I'm right on Furnace Brook Lake, a/k/a Railroad Pond.
I'm sitting at 200' in croton and havent had a positive bust in years. for as long as I can remember, really. so, I'm due. but not expecting anything more than a little slush.
it sure would. I'm going to try and drive up there to ski saturday but have to be at work in nyc until at least lunchtime. any thoughts on a good window of opportunity to do this???
whatever. I dont care about the name so much as being thankful that I no longer have to travel over that old pos bridge. big improvement even now with only the one span open.
Drove from croton into the Bronx this morning and it was not horrible. Came back at 11:30 and it was the worst conditions I can remember in years. Roads were bad and the visibility nill. I just got new winter tires on the truck so I was ok, but most everyone was struggling.
snow growth here is pretty poor but it’s dumping. Guesstimating 6” otg.
