  1. All snow here now. Medium size flakes.
  2. Started here around 9. All frozen so far. Basically ice. Solid coating on everything. 32f. Down in the valley in Warren.
  3. Yeah, I don’t want to get ahead of myself or anything, but I could use a little luck to shine upon us this week. I just got my first 2 days on the boards yesterday and today. Needless to say, conditions were suboptimal. But I put in my time so I figure come Tuesday Wednesday things should turn.
  4. Happy holidays! finally back in the north country. This sounds promising. .LONG TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/... As of 404 AM EST Saturday...As the aforementioned upper low traverses the region during the Tuesday/Wednesday timeframe, active weather will persist across the North Country, but confidence is much higher by this point in the storm that the ptype will be all snow in the higher terrain, and a mix of rain and snow in the valleys. Fairly widespread precipitation will continue through the day Tuesday with some light accumulations possible before the flow turns to the west- northwest and precipitation becomes more terrain focused. Some good indications that conditions become favorable for a period of upslope snow Tuesday night through Wednesday with a closed 700mb circulation northeast of the forecast area, which could result in some nice higher elevations snows.
  5. Sugarbush bought by Alterra. No change to icon pass status this season.
  6. You can do Lincoln peak on a powde r day but you really have to know how to play it. I start off the on the super bravo, then head over to heavens gate starting on the trails and then into paradise woods. Do laps there for a couple hours, then head over to north lynx via the gate house. Then go through the woods to castlerock where the lift line is generally manageable by that time. If it’s not, head back up north lynx to slidebrook and take the bus on German flats either back to Lincoln peak or over to mt Ellen. i think the issues with the northridge quad were resolved a few seasons ago after a particularly bad winter when they replaced the electronics on the lift. Also, Vermont adaptive is planning a big addition to the base lodge at mount Ellen which will result in a significant expansion of the public areas too. Not sure when that is due to happen.
  7. Its still called Black Diamond. Great narrow steep rocky trail.
