All I know is that if your kids are playing with anything other than this, you're a bad parent!

and those that go to college better go to a good one and get straight A's or they are screwed.

Why not? If the weather is their hobby that’s what they’re going to do.

I don’t know many super rich people but two that I do know,  through circumstance, collect pinball machines and hang out on pinball forums all the time.

no kidding look at me :)

  3. you can find most traders on twitter.. most good ones go private as they are big enough to move the market.. I follow a couple that would announce their bio trades and would move the stock.. crazy.  Allot of them try to make more $ by doing their own chat rooms, web site.. most of them suck.. I only know of maybe 10-15 day traders in bios that have made it.. most leave or burn out.

agreed.   Our town announced today they will hold the annual Memorial Day Parade which is great. (will probably get rained out now lol)

pretty much as schedule.. I've been telling everyone May-July is all good, probably said it here a few months ago, hopefully we can start shifting the vax resources to countries that need it.  Looks like I might need to go to Taiwan soon and now they are spiking so that won't work.. don't want to spend 14 days in a hotel.

About 340 Americans under the age of 18 have died "with" COVID so far.

There is a lot of controversy around how many people have died as a direct result of the vaccines, but it seems at least as high as that by all accounts.

I just don't see any rationale for injecting kids with a vaccine that is under Emergency Use Authorization at this time, given the stats and risk profile.

My kids are not old enough to choose this themselves, but maybe it is different for older kids. Pretty sure I wouldn't allow a 16 year old to make that call either, though.

Vax the adults all day, no issues there.

my daughter had no problem getting her shot, I actually told her she did not need it, but wanted it anyway so she can visit her nana in canada next month.

  6. Anyone looking at safemoon? $100 bucks will get you a million shares at .000010, worth a shot to throw a couple hundred at it.

Is that a crypt? Where can u buy that?

  7. I was at UMiami from 92-94. I went to the UM/FSU game in Tallahassee in 93 when C Ward kicked out ass. That stadium was amazing. FSU seemed like an awesome place to go to school

Ray Lewis was in my geography class. I probably walked by The Rock a few times but he wasn't famous. All the football players drove brand new Mercedes. I'm sure it was because their families had tons of money

I was at that game, might still have the shirt... we camped out for 3 days to get tickets. FSU was awesome, good years also.. lots of parties and a little studying lol

UM was a great school also, I was there a few times with my cousin when he went there. Saw one the two live crew dudes hanging out with the players in early 90s. Orange bowl was a dump lol

  8. Engineering as a whole was hit pretty hard in the recession...not a total shock as a lot of construction projects and plans halted. It may have played a role though in lower engineering degree numbers in the subsequent years. There's been a pretty big increase in the number of natural sciences degrees though.
Again, these things will probably ebb and flow as people adjust to the demand and pay incentives. Skilled trades are on the way up again but still have a long way to go to meet demand....so we'll probably see a relative boom there over the next decade or so. Engineering will prob come up again some as job prospects for them become more and more attractive with the current shortage.
It definitely does suck for a lot of these students who had to make decisions about a career in that recession and post-recession period. It probably cost them hundreds of thousands (if not more) in career earnings coming into the job market at the wrong time.

I have one kid graduating college next year, hopefully market stays hot for him. Other one, I’ve already told, you don’t like school so why go for 4 more years. So he is thinking about what to do after he graduates HS. My Daughter just likes kpop and wants to move to Korea.

  9. Also be aware of the volatility....these aren't like high liquidity blue chip stocks. There are whales that can move this 20% or more. This is basically gambling....sure, there's some upside, but always understand the risk and volatility and your bankroll.

Yes, I put a stop limit on all my crypt trades, don’t have time to look at it all day :)

  10. Was just at a conference where they talked about the lack of engineers coming out of universities to support the growing electronics industry in the US. Other countries do a much better job of preparing kids for STEM careers, they start very early on. I guess some of the universities are debating giving full rides if you major in materials, physics or electrical.

  11. I have a few buddies in the trades field and I kick myself everyday that I didn’t go that route. They make money hand over fist.
Now that I’m married and have a mortgage, a dog, etc etc... it woulD be incredibly difficult if not impossible to go back to learn a trade

Never too late if there is demand.

  12. He's said he's wanted be here for awhile and his agent is Bobby Orr, I'd sign him, I think this is the place for him to revive his career, former number one pick and MVP, kids got talent.

Yeah, I mean you can see the talent thanks to playing on the 2nd line. He’s no coyle..

  13. i was looking at your typical flu season in the US, 30-40K deaths officially.. that is from September to March..  that is like 200-300 per day.. I mentioned before, < 300 seems like a good number, specially now with a vax available like the flu..  while it's nice to get to 0.. I don't think that will ever happen here in the US.
