Lived 5 houses down on 2nd Ave where that fire happened yesterday in Royersford. Probably could have been contained to 1 or 2 homes but winds cranking made it a 6 home destruction...

Yeah I know there was a fire weather warning. Really feel bad for those affected. Makes me appreciate what I have.

Not sure where you live and how long but if you go down Main street(?) you'll lose elevation quickly. I was on 2nd ave for a bit.

The movie, "The Lovely Bones" was filmed right outside my place. It was kinda cool...total crowds everywhere.

"Parts of the classic 1958 horror film The Blob, starring Steve McQueen, were filmed in Royersford. The film The Lovely Bones, starring Mark Wahlberg, directed by Peter Jackson, was filmed in the borough in late November 2007."

I’m actually in Upper Providence Township near PJPII High School - a couple miles from the borough lines. But my address is Royersford. Ah yes, The Blob. I forgot some of that was filmed in Royersford. I always think Phoenixville.

Live in Linfield directly behind the Power Plant for a couple years. I could see the steam floating aloft from the backyard. Pretty eerie when a TS was approaching w/the lightning...I could see the towers/lightning and steam billowing out all in one picture/glimpse. And those towers are way huge. It would have made for a cool picture...

Once I moved to Royersford I didn't notice the power plants even though I was only a couple miles down the road...

I can’t see it from my house and that’s a good thing. Beautiful day out! As much as I like snow I enjoy days like these around spring.

I received a moderate air quality alert on my phone this morning. (no joke) I was wondering WTH?

You probably ingested/inhaled a toxic deadly chemical cloud from the Limerick power plant which floated down and hovered above your house. Check for any growth of a 3rd arm/leg/eye/ear tomorrow morning just to be safe...

    67F /Pit fire weather

lol I am really in danger then here

woopee, first t -storm of the new year- in February to say the least. It was nice to wake up hearing rolling thunder with the windows open. I miss the humidity. This is the first time in the past 30+ years I can remember a t storm in Feb but  I may be wrong. More to come this afternoon.

I heard some thunder in JANUARY last winter. Just crazy.

If you told me back around Thanksgiving that I'd be reading a post like this in late Feb, I'd have bet the farm we got smacked good this winter.

Nice looking hurricane forming on the 12z GFS post 300 hrs. Lock it up!

Still hoping all that activity leads to a rare mid-late March event but otherwise ready to move on to spring.

Really can't complain about this winter considering we are in a Nino. We are near avg snowfall to date and have had like 8 separate little events so far. I'm at a C+ grade currently, let's see what happens tonight.

Last winter F, this winter C, maybe next winter jumps to A. ;)

If this event turns out and we still have a period of winter left, maybe can give this winter a B.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a quick pattern regression as we’ve seen over the last week. A quick breakdown of the -NAO around end of month, coupled with a pac jet extension to kick off March. Lots of February-March wintry favorable forecasts are in high danger at this point.

Anyone think it might take longer than modeled since pattern changes are often delayed?

Snowman has been a great poster this year, I followed him over in the El Niño thread and he had some excellent insight and general contribution.

I will say he has a lot of weather knowledge. I used to think he just wanted to put down snow lovers, but lately he has been showing more that he does want us to enjoy our snow. He can just be uncomfortably honest.
