  1. Not sure who you mean by "they" The question was directed at @donsutherland1
  2. I know it is a ways out there but do you think we are headed for a hot summer?? I have seen this mentioned by a few meteorologists already including Larry Cosgrove.
  3. Any preliminary thoughts on spring/summer temps and precipitation??
  4. Honestly JB should not being throwing out maps like this so far in advance IMO. We are talking April which is almost 2 months away.
  5. I am not sure I agree with that. I think we start to warm up substantially (above normal) by mid April IMO. Overall I think April will wind up above normal this year. I guess we'll see.
  6. The current pattern does not support snow. If you like rain I think there will be plenty of it in the mid to long range. It's an active pattern. Disclaimer: That does not mean we can't see a rogue snowstorm or two but I think if it happens it will be at the tail end of February or the beginning of March.
  7. It looks like another bout of heavy rain could be looming for mid/late week. If we keep getting enough of these systems as we move into late winter/early spring that will only build the flooding issues as we move ahead in time. Something to keep an eye on as we move into March/April.

  9. Flood Watch in effect here from Thursday afternoon thru Friday afternoon for rainfall amounts up to 3"
  10. If it can't freeze then let it flood.
  11. Models pretty wet for the late week storm. The NAM is 2-3" of rain and the GFS printing out 1.5"-2" of rainfall.

  13. Looks like mostly rain falling here, temp 41 *Edit temp now down to 39 at 3:35 pm*
  14. No positives for snowlovers in Larry Cosgroves weekly newsletter that's for sure. He says the pattern is NOT going to change and the Easter Seaboard will remain more mild/warm then cold. He also is hinting at a hot summer east of the Continental Divide and good chances for severe weather in the center of the country this spring.
