The real question is will TheCimateChanger now post a three chart expose` about head flies from Gaylord Michigan in 1887?

Personally, as horrible of a winter as it has been my way, it's also great to experience one from almost 150 yrs ago. Reminds me of the winters in NJ back in my Army days. Folks would complain on the little bit of cold that would show up, and I would just laugh at them. "This is nothing, man. You guys don't know what a real winter is like." Of course, most of my buddies were southern boys, so I get it.
Wait! You were in the Army in NJ in the year of our Lord 1874? Mdecoy must have you on speed dial.

What ever happened to Jackstraw? Noticed the last of the snowpack was around his area today in Indiana and it reminded me that he hasn't been around in a long time.

The sunset this evening.
I did not think the sunset would amount to much. But there was some clouds to the west. So I took the camera out to the country to get a good and clear view to the far west. Did not bring the tripod though, as I was not expecting much. So these are handheld through the car window. Blame any soft image on the photographer, not the camera.
The sunset. Taken with the 24-70mm at 70mm and cropped in the camera...
Max red, Taken with the 24-70mm at 70mm and cropped in camera...
Deepest red with the electric blue starting to creep in at the top. Taken with the 24-70mm at 70mm and cropped in camera...
Cheers!

This will piss off the winter weenies. This afternoon a small V of sandhill cranes were winging their way back north. True this is just the vanguard and not the main body of V's upon V's. But Mother Nature is still starting to think about the coming Spring.
With minimal cropping and just a hint of a sundog...
A whole bunch of cropping on this one. About a third of the sensor was all that was saved...

Just an assumption, but it sounds like you are not logged in under chrome and safari.

That is the change (dt) not the current conditions. There is still D1 in the Midwest. You can see the map in the link below...

Its pothole season. I narrowly avoided a pretty deep one today. I hate how Michigan roads are so fragile. Is it like this everywhere?
Yes.

Another perfect Late Feb. day. Was outside all day watching the incoming system dynamics.
A partial 22 degree halo around the Sun as the cirrus encroached the area. Taken with the 24-70mm at 24mm...
When I got out to the overpass for the sunset. Taken with the 16-35mm at 16mm...
Looking south at the different cloud types. Taken wwith the 16-35mm at 16mm...
Looking southeast. Taken with the 16-35mm at 16mm...
The different colors for the different cloud types. The white of the highest cirrus. The yellow of the medium alto-cumulus. And the black of the stratus starting to roll into the area. Taken with the 24-70mm at 35mm...
