Last night had another fortunate timing with a frontal boundary that went through the area but timed out well before the deformation junk arrived and gave me another fantastic red flash.
Taken with the 24-70mm at 70mm...
Taken with the 24-70mm at 70mm and cropped in the camera for an effective 112mm of focal length...
Red, Red, Red Cheers!

I see there was a video posted this morning, pretty surreal to see. Pilot (or officer) waiting for that Delta flight to land was also taking a video of it, likely because of the intense crosswind and complete whiteout on the ground. I think Fox had it on Facebook.
Nothing short of a miracle that they all managed to ultimately walk away, from a crash AND fireball. Pretty wild.
Totally amazing that the fuselage stayed intact. Helped in reducing injuries/deaths

Really “squaring in” on the suck zone for this winter.

36 hours ago several models were big dog’n Chicago thru Detroit. Now it looks like Chicago won’t see crap and Detroit will get a run of the mill advisory snow. If you can’t trust models 2 days out, wtf is the point? Crazy
That butterfly in China is really beating those wings...

Can we get one of these maps to be right…even just once a season? Hell even half right would be nice. (That’s the 360 hr euro snow total for 12z
Even if the map is right, only 22 feet more to go!

Heard and saw some sandhill cranes honking their way back north while I was raking up sweet gum star pods in the backyard.

Why the negative vibes in the tag for this thread? Now in the body of the thread, knock yourself out and be as negative as you like. But to get all sides of every coin to add to the discussion, I think Keeping the thread title bare would be better for adding all posters.
