  1. I actually think they are in a good spot
  2. The triangle has done quite well if you count back the last five years or so.
  3. Sometimes things just don’t break your way at all with these storms. If we had more QPF this morning, we would’ve had accumulation easily. I left with a coating of snow and sleet on my car today. Starting with 18z yesterday, there’s been a hole over Durham and Wake Counties on the short range modeling and seemingly they are accurate with that. We don’t have the lift here that they’ve seen west, south and probably east of us will see. it’s a good thing I considered anything from this event a bonus.
  4. One thing I've noticed with the deform band is that the snow almost makes it into Columbia. Been a long time since they've seen literally anything there.
  5. Another big storm showing around inauguration day. Something to watch given the pattern.
  6. That would be the biggest snow in Northwest AL/Northeast MS in some time.
  7. You've been around here long enough to know who is gonna pull this whining during the event stuff. I feel like everything is on schedule here, I am a little disappointed I didnt get more mood flakes this morning but it is what it is.
  8. This is what we do around here. We whine a quarter way through the event.
  9. I think for someone this is going to overperform as much as this morning disappointed.
  10. Gut feeling is the band this evening overperforms for someone, probably somewhere between US 1 and I-95.
  11. Also looks like KEHO(Shelby) has been reporting snow.
  12. Greenville Downtown and Greenville-Spartanburg both reporting snow
  13. 7M NW of Downtown Durham 34/33 Snowing and sleeting when I left home with accumulation on the cars. As I drove down Guess road, there was slowly less snow until I got to the Hillsborough Rd exit where it seemed like it was just rn.
  14. That super cold late January snow in 2014? It wasn’t a ton of snow but it had been so cold that things were a mess
  15. 0z NAM improved from the 18z QPF disaster for a lot of the triangle.
  16. Okay cool. My folks are just up the road between KM/BC/Cherryville.
  17. 37 degrees. Looks like some high clouds.
  18. HRRR is really aggressive in the triangle.
