Dallas and well, anywhere in North Texas will be shut down! Holy Moly!

This GFS run...it's still snowing on Tuesday!

David Payne out of OKC is doing a LIVE Facebook now, and he's believing this is will be a Major Winter Storm for OK, TX, AR, KS, MO, and even LA and MS. I like him as he's never been a "big hype" kind of guy like Mike Morgan. BUT, today he said, "This is a Bread and Milk Alert". Now if Travis Meyer, Mike Collier, and Aaron Tuttle (My Go-to Mets) are all on board.....I think it will be showtime! Waiting on the Euro.....

Giving the Euro run and that I do not have access to the Kuchera rates b/c of premium membership so the high end my be off a bit but with the four models Central Ok looks to get anywhere from 11 to 17 inches of snow on an average.
Tulsa averages between all 4 models (high end and low end average) 9-17 inches. And pretty much the whole state averages 6in +. I would like to see the Euro ensembles...I bet there are big ones too!

If this even closely verifies, Oklahoma is officially closed.

My hopes for decent precip in NE OK to take advantage of the cold are not high
Yup, looks like most of OK is in the screw zone, storm to the north...storm to the south. Good grief!

Snowing in Tulsa!!

Congrats to those who finally got some good snow!! We saw it snow but it never amounted to anything here at my place just west of downtown Tulsa. Super jealous of my OKC family getting 8-9 inches!

Icon is farther west it looks but that's a ton of precip rising into subfreezing surface air.
That looks like a nasty ice storm!

There are lots of car accidents and cars stuck on hills and medians here in Tulsa, including my mother. Roads are slick!!!
They really should’ve upgraded this to a Warning. Heavy Snow continues! What are they thinking??

Big huge flakes coming down near downtown Tulsa! “Snow globe flakes!” Gosh I have missed this!

They couldn’t put Tulsa in a WSWarning but put everyone directly west of us and then over into Arkansas? Why??
Edited to add: The latest HRRR shows Tulsa with 7 inches. Maybe they think we are just too warm?

Hey everyone! Long time, no chat! Crossing my fingers this is the year the pendulum swings back to our favor! Our region is due for a big one!
Haha! Thanks for posting that Jomo! At least I think we will get pretty cold next Monday...perfect night for some chili and cornbread!

Starting 14:55 into the video, that's probably EF4 damage, right? Home after home blown down to their foundation.
Horrific! That's the scenes I remember from Joplin and Moore! Unfortunately, the strength and the fact this struck in the middle of the night, early March, people were not prepared! My prayers go out to these folks! Just heartbreaking!
-
Wow...this thread is dead. Did any of your Wichita or MO folks get anything?
It sucks we've had the moisture, more than needed actually, but never could get the cold to sustain! This is really not normal for this area!

Sooo, I'm just north of downtown Tulsa, and it's definitely sleeting!
-
Geeze, the extended looks pretty boring!
