  1. If everyone knows our winters are always flawed and we always need alot of luck to snow I fail to see why anyone is disappointed when the pattern advertised is flawed and requires luck. It goes back to what I said awhile ago. It's the big game hunting mentality. My opinion of course
  2. Search every year back and that's generally the case. Yes we've had good winters and yes models have hit some patterns in advance and yes the great long rangers on here nailed the pattern recognition and yes those same long range guys really showed their knowledge and yes.. every year it feels like the pattern is 10 days away. Now I wait for the respectfully disagree posts.
  3. Quick somebody throw some water on the long range guys their gills are getting a little dry

  8. 36 years ago I started pushing a broom for $3.25 an hour at a store called Jumbo Foods which later became Shoppers Food Warehouse. That basically was the beginning of my career in the retail industry and I have stayed in it ever since and it has ultimately afforded me a pretty comfortable and stable life. Well Shoppers is most likely going to close up shop here soon and that makes my heart heavy and sad on many levels. It is always sad to see something that had such an impact on your life go away...much like snow in the mid atlantic....but the memories will always be there and for the most part happy...much like winters in the mid atlantic. R.I.P SFW
  9. Since it appears that weather patterns can sometimes be cyclical I'd say go back to October and see when the pattern flipped to cold in November. That would be my assumption of when we get our next run in January. If January is as much of a departure as November was...congrats Orlando.
  10. Average high in DC on Christmas is 44 degrees. How far off from that is it really going to be?

  13. It's a good thing it never really snows here or the times it doesn't snow would stink more. Now what stinks is people telling you over and over its not going to snow. It's like you know you're ugly and the pretty girl at the bar says to you...hey you're ugly
