  1. One reason for this is the extensive issue of computers ALA Y2k. Not the Windows or Mac's sitting at your desk, the code running back end systems. DST type stuff is programmed in countless routines running systems all across the country.
  2. Has there been more than one day above 70 this year? Maybe, cannot remember. 1990 had 4 days in the 80's before St Pats day. Edit-just checked. 2 days so far but MDT is only at 66 as of 3 PM. So I looked at one year, 1990....it had 5 days above 70 before St Pats day (and St Pats day was in the 70's as well). So, not such a rare feat. Only one day in March, March 1, does not feature record high temps in the 70's. 17 out of the 31 March days have records 80 and over.
  3. I predict you will have the word snow in your zones before the end of the month.
  4. Down to about 5% snow coverage. Will all be gone except drifts and piles...before dark.
  5. We coldinista's think it should be November to April. 50/50 spilt.
  6. Ha. We had May snow recently. I think one thing the warminista's needs to remember is that there has been little winter weather in October as of recent times. And November has not been a peach either except 2018. Is it fair that coldinista's only get 3 -4 out of 12 months? :-)
  7. LOL, its only March 15th in one of the least snowiest winters ever.
  8. Where is Blizz? GFS caved to the cold period coming up in 10-12 days with two chances of frozen.
  9. 36 not so cold degrees. Snow's last stand day here.
  10. Probably M. Night as often as he wants. Boogie and Bones at the end there. Sucks...I wanted nugs loss.
  11. Is that bell that rings after free throws in Philly a simulation of the liberty bell? I kept meaning to ask.
  12. I have not checked all the 12z suites but at 0z, everything was pointing toward winter weather (temps) in late March except the GEFS and GFS.
  13. About 3/4 of my yard still has snow cover so going to be cashing in day 4 of coverage in March (tomorrow). Not sure I get to 5 though. It was dealt a major blow this afternoon. From 4" depth to 1" in most places.
  14. A still chilly 52 here :-). But snow is taking a hit now. Shade saves it but sunny side is melting fast. Will still have some tomorrow but that will probably be it.
  15. And April just means the MU snow so....April snow showers bring MU Flowers of congrats.
  16. There is no winter weather on the GFS just hints of what could happen. As the GFS goes on it really is a spring fling as we miss our chance and a ride takes over most of the country.
  17. GFS with huge changes in the mid range. Cold still locked away but lingering just above us in a drastically different scenario vs. 6Z where the Atlantic spring into action. Just need a properly position low to take advantage. Super drastic changes in the Midwest. As it plays out, it is nothing for us but at this point any chance is a good one for the coldinista's. 12Z 6Z
  18. If it was, you would see a lot more people streaming into Walmart and Lowes :-) Rouzerville officially has only one light but there is a second light just outside the Village and the area around those two lights is always full of Walmart, Goodwill and Lowes shoppers. LOL.
  19. I was just going to post that my snow is going to make it today. Surprised a bit. Still snow on the driveway actually. I had some more to spare though. LOL 45 degrees. It will be gone tomorrow or Wed. Excuse the screen. Not going outside at the moment.
  20. 12Z GFS does promise some 70's on Friday when we get in a strong SW flow from a storm over the Lakes. It also still wants nothing to do wit the weekend storm on the other MR suites.
  21. Just heard my heater kick on...its only 41 out right now. Winter trying to hang on. LOL.
  22. Darn models changed their time too :-). The slow Nam is still outputting at 10:30,
